Disney World MultiPass Scheduling Woes

Just to confirm did you use LLMP attraction return times after 6 PM when MK had closed to day guests or are you just indicating that you were able to use LLMP attractions between 4 PM and 6 PM?

Dave
After 6PM was allowed on a few rides

I had at least 10-12 expired passes within last 2 days and only Haunted Last night after fireworks at 9:30pm where I was questioned by a CM. She wasn’t rude but wasn’t nice. The male CM said “no problem” but unclear if she would allow it if it was just her.

With that said, the major advantages to using this far exceeds even if you get a rejection due to the extra passes and less walking

Modify and expired passes are literally only way to gain advantage aside from just knowing park layout and LL trends. At least it’s something

It sounds like it might be difficult to modify initial LLMP selections on the day of purchase and that the best opportunity to modify times is on the day of your park visit. It has been a year since we have been to the parks, and it does seem like I had a hard time modifying some times on the day I purchased. We like to ride SDD at night, so if the system initially gives me an earlier return time for SDD, would it be better to choose from times shown and try to modify after paying or will I be able to choose an evening return time at my 7am booking? Sorry if this needs to go in another thread. I just know that modifying seemed difficult on day of purchase. Thanks!

There are a few attractions that will still have their LL staffed after 6 PM but I have never seen any past 6:15 PM.

Correct zero issues I used some during Halloween party when technically LL didn’t exist
You posted that you used LL during the party but the party starts at 7 PM. Did you use any LL during the actual party hours that begin at 7 PM?

Yes modifying day of is much easier even without replenish as other folks are moving their LL around

Apologies I meant 7PM. I 100% used at least two remaining passes after the party started around 730pm or so

Thanks for the update, and the clarification. Do you happen to recall which attractions still had an active LL machine operating or did they happen to be using only the LL entrance during the party?

Dave

I thought LL was open during parties for DAS & I guess VIP tours? I supposed there could be recovery fastpasses as well?

Edit: Ah, I see you meant after 6 but not after 7. Yeah that makes sense that they would be closed from 6-7 to let the queues clear out before the party.

All attractions with LL offer this entrance during the party for DAS plus some other guests.

Do you recall if these were within or outside of the 2 hour grace period? I’m interested to hear if Mickey turned green or if the ride attendant overrode a blue Mickey for you during party hours.

This is turning into a very interesting test with some unexpected results.

I would bet that the tapstiles don't know about park hours, so a LL should work during events if the beginning of the event is covered by the grace period or some other LL rule.

I’m sure you’re correct on this. But I’m also curious to hear if the attendant will override a blue Mickey during party hours for being beyond the grace period just like they do during normal operating hours.

Are the tapstiles open between park close and party start? (From 6-7 for the MK parties?). I’ve never paid attention to that. I know they’re open for the parties themselves for things like DAS and the super secret party VIP tours. (And maybe Club 33?)

I think the tapstiles are open whenever the attractions are open. I'll check the next time I'm running around a party.

Color me IMPRESSED with LLMP after our last-minute 4 day WDW Halloween weekend trip.

Finally, this trip was the first of 7 since Genie+ arrived that we didn’t regret paying for the line system some days because it ended up lame or even detrimental to our plans (making day worse than if we hadn’t bought lol). Each trip we’d buy a couple days to try again and never left optimistic about it.

This trip LLMP delivered the best experience we’ve had since free FP+ went away. The parks were also helped by more character meets and live entertainment. Low crowds too but some of those other trips were as well.

FP+ reigns king because it was complimentary. It wasn’t as good as this latest version though - didn’t have 3 rolling selections and lines were often still quite long. FP+ became troubled toward the end as more and more people learned to optimize and/or join DAS.

In Nov 2023 our trip overlapped with my nephew’s and we spent a few park days together using their DAS. Those days were by far nicer than any of our Genie+ or LL attempts.

Under the current version and operations I think LLMP outperforms them all. The lines were short. It was very convenient and flexible. Required much less brainpower and distraction. Being able to overlap times and hold 3+ worked fantastic.

For reference:
Thur Oct 30 - MK/EP LLMP and LLSP Guardians
Fri Oct 31 - HS LLMP
Sat Nov 1 - EP/MK LLMP and LLSP Guardians
Sun Nov 2 - AK LLMP

Kudos to WDW. I think we’ve turned a corner where they realized managing the guest experience for success is again first and foremost. Letting demand seem out of control only works temporarily. I think maybe they got carried away with data showing it could push reasoning to spend more. The secret sauce will always be satisfaction that each expense was worthwhile.
