I'm thinking of collecting the Disney World Monorail set for my den. I've eyed it a few times & I love the huge layouts they have at a few stores at DW. My question is, can anyone tell me what pieces are available for the set & how much each piece costs at the park? I'm watching several Ebay auctions but since I'm heading down to DW next month, I don't want to overpay on Ebay when I can get them cheaper at DW. As far as available pieces, I know there are the resorts, Spaceship Earth, Cinderella Castle, TTC, multiple monorail lines. I've also seen interactive rides/attractions like Dumbo, Haunted Mansion, Alice in Wonderland. I'm not sure if there's a DisneyLand set too, but I only want Disney World pieces. If anyone can help me with any of this info, I'd greatly appreciate it. It's tough to find this info, but I knew if any group could help, it would be you guys. Thanks.

The monorail itself costs $60. Each boy of extra track costs $10. The monorail at WDW is currently the gold monoral.

The castle is $50. I think the resorts and Spaceship Earth are either $25 or $35. And the TTC is $45.

The whole set is really great.... I started with the monorail for around my Christmas tree and the next year my DH, sister and dad finished off my set. I have:

Mororail
Extra Track
SpaceshipEarth
Contemporary
Switching Station
Polynessian
Grand Floridian
Tea Cup Ride
Dumbo Ride
Haunted Mansion
Castle
Astro Orbiter

I am unsure of the $$ since they are not on the boxes. I don't know if there are any other pieces that have been put out since I got mine it has been a couple years since I was given all of mine.

Slabes, I think the prices quoted here are pretty accurate. If Iget a chace I will swing by OUAT when I work this weekend to see if they have a price list. I know they have a display in there. I have the monorail itself, which i bought when we had it at tds one xmas. I do have teh HM, but I wouldn't put it near the monorail, since it's not on the line. I have it with the rest of my HM stuff. I am housesitting this week, but I'll try to get a price list for you and email it to you next week. That way, you can think about what you might want before you come down. You can always buy a few pieces, have them shipped (no tax on the sale then), and then if you want others, you can call the merch # and order some more later. :)

Thanks Doombuggy. I actually called WDW Merch a few weeks back at the suggestion of another DISer. I found out that Polynesian & Grand Floridian were being discontinued & they were currently half off. So I ordered 1 of each. They came this past week & Kevyn, Brendon, & I put them together Saturday. MIL, FIL, SIL, & BIL were over yesterday for a pre-Disney BBQ & I loved showing them off.

I love collecting these things. But I just worry that when I do get the monorail & track, I'm not sure where to set it up. Since it'll obviously take up a good chunk of space. But oh well, I like having problems like those.

Istolemykidspins: I just emailed you before I saw your post. I went to OUAT and wrote down the prices I could find. GF was labeled as sale, but the Poly I looked at was not. If they are reduced, I might have to break down and buy them, maybe Thursday, as they did not have many of those left. The other items were:

Monorail is $60. It's a brown stripe this year.
Extra Track $10
Space Mtn $40
Sorcerer's Hat $40
Spaceship Earth $40
Switching station $45
Grand FL $19.99
DAK Tree $28
Poly $35 (maybe less, if on sale)
Contemporary $40
Accessories $10 (lamp, trees, bench, etc)
Accessories $30 (street arch, resort signs)

I Am Looking For Theme Park Monorail Accessories If You Have Any Please Contact Me Letting Me Know What You Have And How Much.

If you are interested in WDW merchandise, call the WDW Merchandise Guest Services line at (407) 363-6200.

Most are not being sold anymore I am told so I am just looking for people who have them and would like to sell them. I have a huge start but would like to complete my set but no worries I will be contacting the WDW Merchandising tomorrow. Does anyone know the number to DL merchandise too

They have the accessories at the Contemporary. I just saw them last week. One box I think is the signs and the other the trees and light posts for the resorts. The Grand and Poly have been discounted since at least October though I still saw a few around. The set up takes up a lot of room. I lose my spare room every Christmas when the train and monorial goes up.
