Disney World lens recommendation

I am looking for a new lens for my Canon T2i that I will use on an upcoming trip to Disney World. I have considered the Canon 24-105 L, 17-40 L, and 18-135. I really like the 24-105, but will it be wide enough? Would the 17-40 provide enough range? Please let me know from your experiences. Thanks.

I have a 28-135, but I will be selling it. I also have the 35mm prime. I will also be purchasing a 50mm prime.

I used my 28-70 as my primary lens on the last trip. While I feel wider is better at WDW, I don't think I really missed much. There were a couple cases where I threw on the kit 18-55, but those were the exception. My experience on several of my trips is that there were more times I needed the extra length of a longer zoom (one trip was a 50-200 and the next 70-200). Saying this, I eventually would like to get a UWA.

Take a look at the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM. It wont cost you a fortune, and it has an excellent range for a walk around lens. The OS system in it is one of the best, the AF is fast and accurate, and it is pretty sharp as well.

Right now, my walk around lens is a Tamron 18-270. There are times went I want the longer reach, and if I know that I might, I carry the 100-400. For Disney, I plan to use the 18-270, and for shows (ie Fantasmic) I'll lug the 100-400.

I used the 24-105 most of the time last April, and didn't find that I missed too much on the wide end. I did have a 11-16 for situations where a wide angle was needed, but didn't use it too often.

I just picked up the 18-135 and am loving the shots with it-I also take my 70-300 and my 50 to disney.

24mm on a 1.6x crop body probably isn't too bad. I have done WDW and DL with a 28-75m on a 1.5x crop and was OK much of the time but missed the extra width for things like pictures at character meals, with nearby people, etc. I use a 16-50mm now and that works very nicely; it's pretty wide and covers a good, useable range. As long as you're not too worried about wide shots, 24mm will probably be OK; certainly a good bit better than 28mm. (Each mm is more noticeable on the wide end.)

In your case, I'd probably lean towards one of the wider lenses, like Tamron's 17-50mm. That gets you much wider and with an extra stop of speed vs the Canon for less than half the price, and you get IS on the current version, too.

both the 17-40 and 24-105 are for full frame models and (for the price) not really the best on a crop. For a walk around lens look at the Sigma 17-50 2.8, Tamron 17-50 2.8, Canon 17-55, etc. Even the cheap 18-55IS is sharper and better alternative to the 28-135 although it doesn't have the same focal range.
