I am planning my next trip for September 2009 - can anyone tell me what the weather is like then - I've always gone in April.

We were at WDW September 2007 for our honeymoon. There were a few quick showers one day, but it did not hamper our our day at all. It was for 4 days and the rest of the time is was very pleasant. Almost reminded me of being home.

:beach: We enjoy going in September. The weather is hot, so you get to enjoy the pools and water rides. Last year, it rained the night we arrived and a few threats of thunderstorms and that was all. The crowds are also fairly light

Remember that hurricane season laste the whole month. You never know what can happen. Except, it will be hot and humid at best.

I was there Sep 12-28 2008.

Given it was hurricane season, I had my fingers crossed for weeks before and during... so, it's just luck in September.

But my trip really had amazing weather...it was hotter than I expected, and it rained just twice, once a short quick one (I missed it, but the pavement was wet when I came out), and then about the 25th, a long hard pouring out the heavens for what seemed like 2 hours!

Going again next Sept, and will cross fingers again then... but like last trip, I'll carry a plastic raincoat everyday just in case!

:beach:

How I wish we can booked a trip as early as anyone here. We just got there last Christmas holidays and the experience is really wonderful. Now we are planning to go back for the next holidays. But I want as early than that.:thumbsup2

Have a safe trip everyone. :)

I hope the weather is OK the end of September. This is our first fall trip as we usually go in Jan/Feb to get away from winter here in the Midwest. I wanted to try the Food and Wine Festival and it starts the last week of September. This is still supposed to be a less crowded time, so we will give it a try. Maybe we will finally try the pool.:rotfl:

We love to go in September. Other than on the weekends, it feels like you have the place to yourself. That is compare to other times of the years. Last time we went was in 07 and we never even used a FastPass.

Next year we will be going the last week in August and first week in September. I would like to go at the end of September but my oldest will be in her first year of high school so I think those during school trips will be ending. But who cares, we are still going. :cheer2:

We like this timeframe because the crowds are low, the temp os good (some hot days though!) but generally great with the MNNSP. After this year, we will have stayed there for 7 weeks during the Sept.Oct timeframe and we really enjoy it.:thumbsup2

my fiance and I are talking about taking a disneymoon in september after our wedding. Those of you who have gone before, are the discounts usually good in september? What has been offered in the past?

We were there last september, and we caught the tail end of tropical storm Fay, it wasn`t quite a hurricane.
Anyway we had a few really great days, some slightly overcast days and more rain in 3 days than I have ever seen.
On the rainy days we did what what all self respecting disney holiday makers do, we bought ponchos and got drenched walking round the parks.

Its a hit or miss with the wather at that time of the year, but last year didn`t put us off cause we`re going back this september.

EDIT %% sorry DW has just informed me we were away in August last year not September. My memory is getting worse.

We went in 2006, and had great weather. Not very hot, rained on the day we left, which matched how I felt anyway!!! The crowds were so small, just right for little kids and grumpy grandpa! We went end of september to begin of Oct

We have been twice in September: 2006 and 2008. Weather was pretty much the same both trips. Hot and humid (but we like that) and an afternoon shower every few days. We were really nervous last year when IKE was headed right for FL the day we were going. But it changed course and we felt the effects one day with a lot of rain. Turned out to be fun because the kids loved wearing panchos! Being in the rain is fun when it is hot and you are at WDW.

We love the time of year so much we are going for 10 nights the last week of September this year. Taking advantage of it while the kids are little!

We have gone the first week of September the last three years (this year we had to move it to late September because of DH's job and travel schedule). It is hot and it is humid. It is hurricane season. It can rain or it can storm.

In our last three years there the first week of September (we stay an average of 9 days), we have had a high of 96 on several days, but most days I would put right around 90-92 with humidity; we had a total of 3 days of rain--one day it was a torrential downpour for 45 minutes; one other day it was a torrential downpour for 4 hours and the other days it was misty rain off and on. You just have to remember to drink lots of fluids--particularly water, rest in the shade, go back to your resort for a swim to cool off before heading back to the parks in the evening. I always take a wash cloth with me and soak it in cold water and lay it at the back of my neck--it really helps a lot.

this will be our third year going in September and we love it. We haven't had any major storms - rain yes, but it hasn't been for more than an hour....Plus it is not a cold rain, so we were still able to enjoy the ride during rain and no lines at all. It is hot and humid, but we come from Canada, so we really enjoy that weather.
We absolutely love going there in September - I already have my dates for the next year :cool1:

Planning for the MNNSP party and the weather makes this timeframe alot of fun. Usually it is not that crowded so the need for FastPasses are not as great (except for Soarin)!!! We really enjoy it and will be going back this sept for 2 weeks, staying at POP, which we love. Pop seems to be central to many of the parks and is typically only 20-30 minutes using the buses door to door. The weather is ususally hot an dhumid but if you plan your days it's easy to cope with it. We typically go to the parks early and stay till ~1pm then go back to Pop to enjoy the pools or rest. Then, we go back ~5pm for dining and the night. The weather has been pretty good alos over the last 4 years so we've been lucky with few bad storms.:thumbsup2

With free dining coming up...I thought I would put this out there one more time. We would love to help you save a more with the free dining offer and buy four get three vacations being planned.

Royal Carriage stroller swap on the Budget board.
