HI everyone! I'm heading to the world Septemeber 12-20. Having only been there ONCE more than ten years ago as a child I'm a bit lost on what to expect in Orlando during our stay :scared: . What are the crowds or line queue wait times? Is MNSSHP worth it for two adults without children? Please, any advice will be good advice in my books! Thanks so much :goodvibes

OOOOHHHHH Did you come to the right place. People love to give advice like this on these boards ;) (ya'll know it)

September is a good time to go. Crowds are lower, but still 45mins for popular rides, midday. Weather in the 90's still, and it will probably rain (It's hurricane season :goodvibes) So buy a poncho at walmart or the dollar store as they are more expensive in the park.

Check out www.easywdw.com for lots of free info. I super <3 this site.

For September:

And check out the Theme Parks and Atrractions board. They have great tips there too.

We (almost) always go to WDW in Sept. Love it then! The crowd levels are pretty low. But do be prepared for hurricanes. It will rain during your trip, it's only a matter of how much! ;) Wear water proof shoes and bring a poncho. One good thing is even if it's pouring buckets (around 4 p.m. for example) it doesn't usually last for long, usually!

Yes, MNSSHP can be fun without kids. Maybe even more so. The parade and fireworks are awesome!

I love going in September. I almost feel like I'm missing out if I go another time of year.

I'll be there the same week as you and @ POP as well! Crowds are very manageable. If you show at rope drop you'll be amazed at how much you can get done before noon.

I'm planning on going to MNSSHP on 9/16. I've gone twice in the past without kids. It's so much fun! All the rides are pretty much walk-ons during the party. Definitely dress up if your into that. It'll still be pretty hot during the party so make sure your costume isn't too heavy.

Have a great time!!!

Does anyone have photos of the crowds in september? :)

I don't have a lot of crowd photos but here's afew that show some of it.

DHS at night (note not many behind DD)

DD and I in wave pool at TL-again, not very crowded.

Check the amount of people behind us walking into EPCOT. Not too bad.

I really enjoy Sept. This year we may do October only because that's when DD11's school break is. Previously it was Sept. I think Oct. will be nice too thought a little more crowded due to F&WF.

HTH.

Crowd-wise, September is one of the slowest times of the year to visit WDW, but no one has mentioned free dining. Are you booked under the current free dining promo - which covers your dates? If so, have you booked your Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs)? The parks will have fairly low crowds, but the restaurants will be packed and most likely none of the table service restaurants will even be taking walk-ups. If you plan to do any sit-down/table service/character meals then you need to make ADRs right away. If you are not booked under the free dining promo, you may want to call and have it applied to your existing reservation. I would check and see what is available on the Disney Dining website.

And, yes, MNSSHP is worth it for 2 adults, especially if you have not ever been.

Thanks everyone, the pictures and responses have been a huge help! I'm so excited for my trip and september can't come soon enough :)

This is our 5th trip in Sept. It is our fave time to go (we never been any other time but shhhh...;)) Anyway- it is HOT...HUMID and MUGGY but crowds are low and free dining is a nice bonus-for us anyway.
We are two adults who enjoy MNSSHP. It is a blast. The parade, fireworks, dance parties, candy all of it is so much fun. We sorta of dress up--to help get in the mood. We fly so we usually do something simple like hippies :hippie:
This year I think we are just making Halloween shirts when we get to DTD.
The rides have less wait times..I would still suggest getting and using Fastpasses for the major rides.
Hope you have a wonderful trip!

I went for 9 days the day after Labour Day last September and it was awesome. I guess we got lucky cuz it only rained once. It was hot and humid. Crowds were low. We utilized the fast pass and never waited longer than 30 minutes for a ride. Majority were a 10 minute wait or less. Make sure you book your ADRs because the resturants were always full as result of the free dining.

So, I've been doing a bunch of research in help make my visit really special. One thing that I was a little confused about was on the Electrical Water Pageant. :confused3 It wasn't advertised on the disney website (atleast from what I've come acrossed) but many people recommend it. Will it be showing in September? And if, does anyone know the times and a good spot to watch it? Thanks so much!

September is our favorite month to go to Disney. The crowds are low. Last time we were able to get right on most rides with no wait. It is still hot & humid but the low crowds make up for that. I would go to MNSSHP. I know both my husband and I really enjoyed it as well as the kids. We are going again this Sept.

Hello, I hope you enjoy your stay!

The Electric Water Pageant is a small show that takes place in front of resorts in the Seven Seas Lagoon. We personally like to watch @ the Polynesian, as you have MK in the back. You can also watch Wishes over there.

We go every Sept as well. Yes, it's hot/humid, but we're used to that and you just need to plan in advance for ways to stay cool and hydrated. But, it's south Florida in late summer...beautiful! Bright blue skies dotted with white puffy clouds. Ahhhh.....

It's only rained on us a couple of times, and only once did the rain last for any length of time. Pop up showers don't scare us lol!

One of the main reasons we go in Sept is because we rarely EVER stand in a line longer than 20 min. If so, we just FP the ride and move on. We're able to walk onto many rides/attractions. To me, the shorter waits are well worth dealing with the weather.

Hope you have a great time!
