Disney World in October?

My family and i were there Oct.2 Thru the the 9th of 2007 and I gotta say it was HUMID.It was also much more crowded than when we went in 2001 during the same month but that was also right after 9-11 so we probably had unrealistic expectations crowd wise.The love bugs were around but tolerable

I'm going 10/13 - 10/18. Here is my question. Disney doesn't consider that as a low-crowd week, which I'm assuming is because Columbus Day is that Monday, 10/13. But just because people have that 3-day weekend, should the whole week be crowded?

MK is open until 11PM that Friday night... Should I expect a huge crowd there that day?

I just would have never though a random week in the middle of October would be so busy...

It was very crowded during Columbus Day weekend in 2007.There were 2 hour waits for Rockin' Roller Coaster in MGM Late in the day,and on the saturday during extra magic hours at Magic Kingdom,I think it was open to 1AM,it was PACKED.
