Hi All,

I have watched the boards for awhile trying to get as much information as I can. But have a few questions. I have been to Disney 3 times already and they have always been in the months of April or May. Well this time I will be going from July 29th till August 6th.

I know it is going to be very hot and I have been checking the historical weather patterns and just wondering from people that have been there at that time of the year, How often does it rain at that time of the year there. I am worried that it could be a rainy week.

Also is it a busy time of year for Disney, I figure it will be on the weekends, especially at the water parks. Any info would be useful.

Be prepared for hazy, hot, and humid, with thunderstorms everyday, lasting about 1-1 1/2 hrs around 3pm. It is very crowded. The best advise is to take advantange of EMH or get to the parks when they open. When it gets to be around noon, start back to the hotel. Nap or go in the pool for a few hours. Then around 4:30 start back to the parks for dinner. This way you avoid the scorching sun during mid day.

We go every year at this time. We might be crazy, but we do love it!

It is best to visit Disney during the summer, in my opinion! It wont be bad - I am sure you are going to have the time of your life. We only visit Disney during the summer and to be honest, it doesn't rain that much. If it does rain it is just enough to cool everything off! :thumbsup2

Although it will be hazy hot and humid, it really is the best time of year to go. As long as you have a well planned trip you should have no problems even if the crowd is larger than normal. I have seen people go from one side of the park to the other to hit star attractions. What a waste of time. My advice work on one area at a time, get fast passes, and by the end of the day you will have completed everything in the park. At a point during the day like clockwork the skies will turn gray, the heavens will open up and torrential downpour will occur for usually 10-20 minutes cooling everything down. It really is a big help. And if you are staying at a Disney Resort, take anvantage of extra magic hours. You can really get a lot done in such a short time. Good Luck!!! :cool1:

I visit this time a year - all the time. Yes it is hot, but take your time, take breaks in air conditioned eateries, drink plenty of fluids (all the lemon icees you want), and all the ice cream you want!!! Bring a raincoat/poncho and have a ball!!! BTW, we will be in WDW the same time I'll be there July 29 - Aug 5. We are staying in Emerald Island this year. Have funnnnnn!!!! :sunny:
