Disney World Desktop Chat Issue

I don't know where exactly to put this thread, but I want to know if anyone else has had this issue (or maybe I'm just crazy)! I've called Disney about this before on the evening of June 15th, but they were unable to solve my issue. From what I understand, the problem was passed on to IT and would get a response in 72 hours, but I have not heard back.

My issue revolves around the chat window on the Disney World website. It seems to be that a conversation I started with a CM on June 2nd in my MDE app did not get resolved properly and as such, the chat window constantly pops up any time I visit the Disney World website and cannot be closed. The message it gives me is "Go back to the previous page or log in to continue your conversation". Hitting the back button or signing out and signing back in does nothing.

I really think this issue is tied to my account because this is not happening to my boyfriend's MDE account - I've tried resetting my password, but no dice. I have cleared all cache and cookies in my browser, Google Chrome, but I have also tried other browsers like Safari and Firebox - the issue is still persisting. I also cannot start another chat on the website, but all my chats in my MDE app have been opened and closed just fine, but they noticeably do not appear in the website chat window like they have before. I have also tried on another device, including my phone, using the Google Chrome app, and the problem is even worse - I was trying to choose our magicbands and didn't have access to the computer, so I tapped the option in the app, but when it took me into the Disney World website in the chrome app, the chat window completely covered the site and I had to constantly click the "X" button to quickly click the green "continue" button.

I work in IT, and this has had me stumped for weeks! I thought the issue fixed itself today because I was able to chat with a CM, but as soon as the chat ended, it went right back to "Go back to the previous page or log in to continue your conversation" and can't be closed. I sent another email last night, but what do you guys think?
 
ah, gotcha - just think someone there can maybe at least point you in the right direction? worth a shot possibly.
 

This issue has happened to me before and honestly I couldn't resolve it. I think you're onto something though re: issues with certain accounts.
 
The issue (I think) is that you have an open conversation in the Disneyworld chat app. If you go to the app and click on the top right of the corner and then click "close conversation" it should get rid of the open chat as well as the pop up on the web site. This is a cookie that follows your account when you are logged in whether that is online or on the app. hope that helps.
 
I had this issue a week or so ago, but I had accessed the CHAT from my iPad which i suspected was the issue - when I logged into my desktop the next morning and opened MDE I kept receiving that message and couldn't move forward.....eventually it went away.....I shut down and turned off both the ipad and the desktop and on reboot everything was fine.
