During MVMCP, do the majority of the people tour the park clockwise or counter-clockwise? Where do most start ~ tomorrowland, adventureland, etc.? Trying to work out our plan of attack!

I don't know if you'll get any consensus on that question but I think the fact that special characters are making an appearance at the parties dictates much of the movement plus the draw of the early parade.

I would advise you to look at the posted party map and locations of characters etc. and decide which characters you must try to see and what parade your group will watch. Then see if any shows are a must-do. Rides may or may not be important that night depending upon other times you are going to spend in the MK other than at the MVMCP. And don't forget the special items that might be for sale during the party itself.

When we went to the party in 2007 we avoided the first parade and all characters and shows since we were adults and rode just about everything as walk-ons. I also walked around and got some great pictures. Then we got some cocoa and cookies to warm up since it was bitter cold and we got in line for the second parade. It was easy to get spots about 15 minutes before the parade and we thoroughly enjoyed it but DS was freezing so we went back to our room. For us, we got our money out of the experience and are going back for our third time ever!

We're going the same dates and hoping for warm weather! But we'll be prepared for cool, just NO RAIN please!!

We're there that week too!! First trip for all of us (although one has been to Disneyland) and I'm glad to hear crowd isn't bad at all!!!

We are going Dec. 10-17. First trip for me since I was six years old and that has been a LONG time. There are 12 of us total and lots of first timers in our group two of which are my kiddos!! We are sooooo excited! Can anyone tell me where to go to find the character spots during the party? Thanks!

It's our 1st Christmas at WDW too. This trip will be our Disneymoon. Dec 10-18, staying at POFQ. Yes, we too will be hitting up the MVMCP (also our 1st time - did the MNSSHP at Disneyland last year and it was a blast!), also have an ADR for the dessert fireworks party that same night. Figured we'd make it extra-super-special! Ugh... can't wait!!!!!

We will be there from Dec. 6-16. Doing MVMCP on the 13, which we have done several years ago & found it was worth the money. Great time of the year to be @ disney especially all the parks & seeing the resorts for the holidays. I agree the Osborne lights @ HS are spectaculiar & surely something not to miss. Hope we have good weather also, we were there in early dec. when the temps @ night went down in the 30,s . Staying @ Cornado Springs for the 1st 5 dats then @ Saratoga Springs. Hope everyone has an enjoyable trip & gets got up in the Disney Christmas spirit.

I'm almost all packed ~ lots of variety for everyone! We are driving, so have a little more room than if flying but not much. We're taking my Ford Fiesta ~ 43 mpg!

We will also be at MVMCP on the 13th! We are definitely in packing mode. Hoping I get everything done on time. As my kids reminded me this morning..... only 5 more sleeps momma!

Back from a glorious time spent in the World. Could not have planned better weather or crowds! Most rides were literally walk-on! Used the fastpass system to maximize rides on the big ones. Kids were able to ride Everest 8 times in a row at the close of AK on Tuesday!

We've spent the 2nd week of December at WDW, seven times!! If you take the time to plan, make your dining reservations, your trip will be awesome. You will be able to ride many major attractions with little wait. We have not noticed a big increase in crowd levels over the last few years. It's a wonderful time to visit. Have a great trip.
