Dear Fellow DVC'rs. Has anyone seen the WDW commercial with the puppies about luggage being picked up at the airport, etc...

Does any of that pertain to any of the DVC resorts?

Just wondering...

Yes, DVCers on points are eligible to use Disney's Magical Express :)

I just love those commercials with the puppies! :)

But .. now my dogs want to go! They think they can go to the park and the restaurants!

I saw the commercial for the first time yesterday! It was cute...got me very excited for our first DVC trip this summer.

I just read, on another board, that the Magical Express was ONLY for those who signed up with the Magic Your Way package (and a specific package). This didn't make sense to me, since I have been reading and hearing so much about this new WDW "perk".

Perhaps DVC'ers are able to get the service. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks.

FYI -I read that post and the person called back and was told the original CM was wrong and they were eligible for Magical Express, it's not just for people on a package.

Ok, this is sad- but I cried at that commercial!!! :goodvibes (And I don't even have a dog!!) My cat thinks I'm nuts!!

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was excited about the new "perk", and I was hoping it would be available for DVC'ers. Has anyone used the Express? What are the pros and cons? Is the service worth using or should we plan on the shuttle/taxi/towncar option?

The Express does not begin until 5/5 to coincide with the Celebration. So as time goes on we'll get more info. I plan on using it for my trip in Nov, but interested in hearing others experiences before then.

I was kind of surprised they didn't have anything about it in our reservation confirmation that came last week for next January's trip. I was hoping to read something about it, but they still had the Mears shuttle info in it.

Yeah, you're right, I didn't even think of that. I got the Mears info w/my Nov confimmation letter.

Funny.

I'm not a big fan of animals, but the ds (5), dd (2) and dw were all googly over the pups. I, actually get teary eyed with the websites! That music is do melodramatic.

We received something in the mail about from DVC. Thats how we found out about it (magic express). Too bad it won't be around for March when we go, oh how I would love to skip the whole baggage area of the airport and go right to the resort. We leave Sunday March 6 for our first trip as members.
The suitcases are out, but the cats are sad. The count down begins.

I booked our May trip today, and sort of expected (don't know why :confused3) Member Services to ask ME if I needed it, but she didn't. So I asked her, and she said to call up to 30 days before our trip to arrange it. Now it just occurred to me...call who???

mmmm, good question. I think when I spoke to my guide last, I asked her the same question. I am pretty sure (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that she told me MS does that for us. :confused3

yes you call back MS -

I get so upset - I mean talk about fault advertising....

Like they would let in non-service dogs in the parks....

Oh on my trip there was this very tiny dog in a lady lap - it was a service dog???

On our trip in 98 someone had a cat at downtown Disney. It was playing in the playground area. Even though it was outdoors, I thought Disney was strict about that sort of thing. Now (and I just read today about a woman getting $300,00.00 because her apartment evicted her for having a dog). Although it wasn't a guide dog apparently mental health dogs (she had bipolar disorder) now have to be allowed as well. So when it was mentioned that there was a little dog in Disney, doubtful the dog is a guide dog, but perhaps a mental health dog.

Love that commercial and so does our Labrador Retreiver. She sits right in front of the TV to watch it!!!!!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

There's another in the series out now with the dogs lounging around a resort...can't make out if it's a "real" resort or a compilation of various ones. I love WDW...I love dogs (especially poodles) so I'm just nuts over those ads! :)
