My family of 3 (my son will be 4 when we go) and my parents and in laws are all going to DW in 2014....we are staying at AOA resort at 2 Cars suites....we are on the dining plan and have a 5Day PH ticket...any tips from the forum on places to make ADRs or attractions and must sees for us (especially my son!) thanks in advance!!!

We went with the extended family last year. Our grand kids were 7(g-son) & 3(d-daughter). The breakfast buffet with Chef Mickey at the Contemporary is excellent. The characters come to each table for photo options. It was a treasured moment that they still talk about. The meal that our daughter & family enjoyed was at the Coral Reef restaurant. It has an aquarium in there & the kids loved the experience ( although they mentioned that the food was average). I would also try to meet characters using fast passes. This website is quite helpful for planning .

Enjoy!:)

Take some time to let your son walk around AoA. He will love the cars area for sure. And the Lion king part is neat too. If you want to see Mickey at MK my advice is to do it early in the day. He is in the town square theater just inside the park and to the right. There is a FP for it I believe. Overall I think it's nice to go at your child's pace. When we took our 1.5 yr old last yr we didn't try to cram too much in. When he got tired we went back to our room for a nap and it was glorious. We would sometimes go back to the park and sometimes not. Also, if he's a Disney Jr fan check out the character meal at Hollywood and Vine. I've heard great things and will be planning it for our next trip.

I agree with going at your son's pace. We're going soon with my DS4 (in a Cars suite, too!) and I've already told everyone coming that if we have to take a break on a bench along Main St as soon as we get there, then so be it. I really think the Hoop De Doo Review would be fun for a 4 yr old, too. This year we're doing 2 character meals. Don't forget...this may be your only chance of doing a princess meal with a little boy. I'm missing the boat this year only because we have too many ADRs anyway! Oh!!! Pirate's League! And I've never met a little boy who didn't want to build his own light saber. If you're going to DTD, don't miss the Lego store. Have fun planning!

Great advice....my little boy loves all things Legos so that is definitely a must see....thanks so much for the advise....can't wait!!!

Try and get a prepark opening breakfast ADR for the Crystal Palace. If your little boy likes Pooh and friends then he'll love it! We ate there earlier this month for breakfast and loved it! The food is great and walking down an empty main street is great for pictures!
