5. How do you usually get to to Disney World?
-Drive. I moved to Tampa in 2006 so since then I just drive up to Orlando

6. What do you do to pass the time while getting there?
-Sleep, but lately I'm the one that drives so just jam session in the car :)

7. Do you have any particularly memorable or interesting experiences you can recall happening on your journey to Disney World?
-Hmm...not really. There's not much room for anything to happen in a one-hour time window and being with ppl you know.


LODGING
8. What is your favorite place you have stayed at and why? It does not have to be on property.
-Every time I've gone to WDW, I've driven in the morning and gone back home at night...although the last trip I stayed in a fairly nice and cheap hotel.

9. What is your least favorite place you have stayed at and why? (It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place, it's just that maybe out of all your list of favorites, this would be your least favorite)
-Home. :)

MAGIC KINGDOM
10. What is your favorite attraction in the MK?
-I'd say Peter Pan's flight, although the People Mover is climbing up fairly quickly tonight :)

11. What is your least favorite attraction in the MK?
- I'd say Splash Mountain. I've never been on it but I'm sure I'd hate it.

12. Tell me a random memory you have involving the MK.
I remember we got a wheelchair for my grandpa the first time we went just so we could skip the lines :) went straight threw on our first one, which was Jungle Cruise.

13. What is your favorite place to eat in the MK?
- I don't really have a favorite, but I always seem to end up eating at Pinocchio's restaurant.

EPCOT
14. What is your favorite attraction in Epcot?
-Test Track by far!!!! Love the speed and the whole theme of the ride.

15. What is your least favorite attraction in Epcot?
- Hmm...tough to say. I haven't had a bad experience with any of them, but if I had to choose, I'd say Mission Space.

16. Tell me a random memory you have involving Epcot.
- First time riding Maelstrom, I freaked out because I saw how it goes up that lift at the beginning. I. HATE. LIFTS.

17. What is your favorite place to eat in Epcot?
- The french bakery. Not sure what its called but we HAVE to buy a pastry everytime we're in town!

18. What is your favorite country in the World Showcase?
-I can't say that I've seen as much detail in the last countries, going clockwise, in WS. I suppose we lose interest by UK and Canada, but it just seems to have a lack of entertainment. I do love Mexico, Morroco, and China though. And Japan :)


HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
19. What is your favorite attraction in HS?
- Toy Story Mania!

20. What is your least favorite attraction in HS?
Tower of Terror. NEVER AGAIN.

21. Tell me a random memory you have involving HS.
- First time I went, it was w/t DM and DS and it happened to be on SWW. EXACTLY. We weren't expecting the crazy and it was just FILLED. We loved have our friend join us in the middle of the day though.

22. What is your favorite place to eat in HS?
- Hmmm...I really haven't eaten enough here to have a favorite. I like the little counter place on Sunset near RnRC

23. Do you watch the Citizens of Hollywood?
-UGH, last time I was there I was confused by what they were but honestly I don't think I could ever stand there and watch these ppl "act."


ANIMAL KINGDOM
24. What is your favorite attraction in the AK?
- Hmm...I'd say its a tie between DINOSAUR and It's Tough to be a Bug

25. What is your least favorite attraction in the AK?
- The bird show...whatever it's called.

26. Tell me a random memory you have involving the AK.
- The reason the bird show is my least favorite is because it split up my family. It was the last day of our vacation, they didn't want to do anything I was doing, so they decided to go on the show without hearing me out. I got sick of it, told them to watch whatever they wanted, and left, even though I had NO IDEA where I was going. I ended up visiting CMM and off the the Gorilla Reserve.

27. What is your favorite place to eat in the AK?
- Again, didn't eat much, but Yak & Yeti was really great

-I've never even heard of that place.

- I never really went...just passed by one day.

- Eh, nothing. I was glad to see spectomagic gone though...I HATE that parade. The music is especially creepy.

- I remember being amazed at finally getting to go to Disney world and taking pictures of EVERYTHING in sight.

- I think so...they, of course, never get it.

- Costa Rica. It's nice to be able to see the family.

- Peter Pan and never wanting to grow up. Aladdin too in the way that we both come from barely anything and aspire to be something more...plus we're both dark :)

I could go on for days:lmao: We went down in an old RV one year and broke down multiple times:confused: We call that are trip from you-know-where and it is a sore subject with me Dad. Also have stayed at many interesting hotels, dined at many interesting restaurants, and had to use some interesting bathrooms. One bathroom earned the nickname the porno bathroom, I will not go into detail on that one.




LODGING

8. What is your favorite place you have stayed at and why? It does not have to be on property::

Bay Lake Towers! Kills me to pick it over BeachClub but it is just so amazing. We were lucky to have a amazing MK view the first time there but besides the view the location is just too perfect. We hope to be staying there in December again

9. What is your least favorite place you have stayed at and why? (It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place, it's just that maybe out of all your list of favorites, this would be your least favorite)::

Definetly not bad but the Grand Floridian. It's just not my style.


MAGIC KINGDOM

Either BTMR, Splash Mountain, or the People Mover:lovestruc Can't choose between thos three

Stich's, I am sorry but it is just stupid

When I went to disney for the first time with my little cousins, watching them watch the parade was the best! They waved and blew kisses at everyone and it was too precious:cutie:

Crystal Palace! Probably my favorite in all of WDW actually!

Soarin, Mission Space, or Test Track (I am bad at choosing!)

Nemo and Friends. I thought it was really tacky and not high quality.

Whenever my cousin and I ride the new Spaceship Earth we never do it in English. The first time we did it in German! Of course we had no idea what was going on but laughed the whole time:rotfl:

Rose and Crown. Fish and chips, yummy!

Tough question! Probably either the UK because I like the food or Mexico because of the food:lmao:

My dad was worried I was going to fall asleep so he bought me a blanket (which I still use a lot to this day!) and a orange soda in Mexico. One in case I did not make it and one to help me make it! I made it because there was a cannon right in front of us!

In Elementary school I actually did a lot:lmao: Kids that I know now were just jealous always complained about how Im too old (o yeah, 9 is too old) for disney.

Airplane. Although I did drive once. It took us to days, with an overnight in Indianapolis.

I have to take Dramamine to fend of motion sickness when I fly, so I mostly sleep. When I'm awake I read or do crossword puzzles.


7. Do you have any particularly memorable or interesting experiences you can recall happening on your journey to Disney World?::

I took a trip last year with my sister and my 2 cousins (all of us adults in our 20s and 30s). At security in the airport, my cousin's bag was flagged and the TSA started searching it. We had brought along a 50-year old monkey puppet that used to belong to my dad (long story, but we wanted some pictures with it at WDW). The agent was so distracted by the monkey that she never noticed the enormous bottle of lotion in the carry-on that was probably what got the bag flagged to begin with. :scared1:

I don't know that I have a favorite. The Poly is the most convenient, but I liked Pop and CBR as well.

I guess it would be pop, just because the rooms were smaller and the bus was less convenient than the monorail. But it wasn't bad at all.

Splash Mountain

The tea cups! My dad and sister spun me 'til I puked on my first time. Never again.

Taking my DDs on Peter Pan for the first time a couple years ago. It was magical.

The first F! getting rained out and my DD2 and my DH went back to the resort. But my DD5 said she wanted to stick it out and see if they did the later show. (We had been there since rope drop, and this was the 7th day of vacation.) We went over to TSM to kill time until the next show and there was no one in line. We rode it twice in a row, then got to see F! for the first time. It was a great bonding experience.

I remember on one trip I took with my mom that one guy across the aisle from us kept bending down to take cheese slices out of his backpack, unwrapping them and shoving them in his mouth hoping no one would see him. Closet cheese eater? It was pretty funny :laughing:

Polynesian. There's nothing like having those sliding glass doors open and breathe in the smell of the lobby. Amazing.

Wilderness Lodge. Though I love the lobby, the rooms weren't so great and the showers left a lot to be desired. Sorry, not a lot to complain about at Disney!

Peter Pan's Flight. :lovestruc A very close second is Haunted Mansion

The Jungle Cruise. blah

Getting to see a sneak preview of Mickey's Philharmagic with my mom! It opened in October 2003 and we were there in September and happened to be there at the right moment, they had the doors opened for a special screening. It was awesome!

Its a tie between AKL & FW Cabins. We really liked the privacy & vast amount of things to do at FW but there was nothing like waking up to giraffes & zebras right outside your window at AKL.

All Star Movies. Nothing wrong with it really, but it was just a place to sleep.

Splash Mountain. I love to sing Zippity Doo Dah at the end!

On DD's 1st trip we were leaving MK early for our mid-day break and as we got to the train station the parade started. There were very few people in the area so we got front row spots. DD was only 15 months old but she LOVED to watch the dancers inbetween the floats & try to follow their footwork. It was so cute!

13. What is your favorite place to eat in the MK?

Crystal Palace. It was DD 1st interaction with any character & they did not disappoint!

Living with the land. I don't know why I find this so interesting. I just like to see the pumpkins being shaped into Mickey heads.

Any of the shows in world showcase that are 360 shows. I get motion sickness very easily & those always make me feel off balance.

DH & DFIL bought the viking hats in Norway. DFIL has a very long mustache so he really fit the part. Everywhere we went, people were stopping & asking to take pictues with them.

I love to take a break in France & get some pastries & coffee. It always feels like an extra special treat.

I dont really have a favorite. I just love how we only have to walk a few steps & immersed in a whole different culture.

My mom & I went to MGM when I was a teenager, I think around 1993. We were very underwhelmed by the park. I still feel this way today. I can only spend a 1/2 day & then I'm ready to go...there just isn't enough to hold my interest.

The only place we've ever ate at was Sci Fi...I wasn't really impressed. However, next time I want to try 50s Prime Time. I'm actually looking forward to it.

7. Do you have any particularly memorable or interesting experiences you can recall happening on your journey to Disney World?::

The last two times I've been to WDW have provided some great travel stories. The first was August '10. Myself and 9 of my best friends in the world piled into a Winnebago and drove from NYC to Disney. This was the first time being on a big road trip like this where I didn't get annoyed at anyone, I feel like I found the perfect group to travel with. It was awesome. Three of us brought guitars, so we'd have little jam sessions on the road. The best part was the drive down because of the excitement for everyone to get to Disney. It was a few of my friends first times, so between their newfound excitement, and my returning excitement, the Winnebago was just a ball of fun energy.

My most recent trip, Jan 2011, had an interesting start. I had a meeting the night before my flight, which didn't end til close to 1am. I got home around 2, had to be out the door again by 3 for my 6 am flight. I had barely slept the night before that as well, so by the time I was at the airport, I was EXHAUSTED. So tired in fact, that during our connecting time at the Atlanta airport, I had mistakenly walked into the womens room, not realizing til I saw no urinals. As I walked back out, a couple, around my age, were standing there applauding. They said they saw me walk in and just had to see what happened. This was only 10am. By the time we finally got to the Disney, I was so tired I didnt feel tired anymore. That nights sleep (which came around 10) was GLORIOUS.



LODGING

8. What is your favorite place you have stayed at and why? It does not have to be on property::

Pop Century. I know its laid out just like the All Stars, but something about I just LOVE. My favorite off site is Royal Pacific in Universal. Great hotel, loved the convenience of the proximity to the parks (You're pretty much able to walk from the hotel to the parks)

9. What is your least favorite place you have stayed at and why? (It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place, it's just that maybe out of all your list of favorites, this would be your least favorite)::

All Star Sports, for the fact that I've probably had my least favorite experience there. Not a bad hotel, but not one I would go out of my way to stay at again.



MAGIC KINGDOM

10. What is your favorite attraction in the MK?

I really can't choose between these 3: Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and The Jungle Cruise.


11. What is your least favorite attraction in the MK?

Stitch, for sure. It's just not that entertaining.

While riding Splash Mountain on a trip in 2008, a women who had a medical fast pass asked us if we'd like to ride again with her and her son, using the pass to allow us to stay on the ride without getting off. We rode it again 3 more times. What a nice lady.

Pecos Bills for quickservice, and no opinion on table service, can't remember the last time (if ever!) I did table service in MK.

Ellen's Energy Adventure. My friend convinced me this was gonna be awesome. I'm never getting that 45 minutes of my life back. Not even Bill Nye could save it.

After a very successful evening of Drinking Round The World, I was wandering the park solo (My friend had tapped out after drink#9 and headed back to the room). I made some return visits to the countries with the best drinks. Everything gets a bit hazy after that. When I woke the morning, I saw a white jacket sitting on top of my suitcase. It was a brand new $60 Epcot track jacket, one that sober me would NEVER buy/wear. Luckily I was able to return it at the Resort gift shop.

for quickservice, Yakitori House in Japan. for table service, the Rose and Crown.

August 10, having the clerk at Rock N Roller photos ask if he can print out a 2nd copy of our pic to show the other cast members. (We had pulled out a map for the photo, pretending we were lost. it was awesome)

Long story short, their evening was disappointing and terrible, and since the girl was a chatty cathy, I heard all about it. So during our disappointing day at AK, I proceeded to compare all the disappointment of the park, to the disappointing evening he had the night before. He was not amused, I thought it was hilarious.

Thing is they were not serving pretzels on this flight. The flight attendant did come back with a plastic bag with about 20 pretzel packets left over from an earlier flight. That made his day.

The Poly. Great theme resort and its location was ideal for watching the fireworks from the MK.

In 1977, my sister and I were chosen to be the Son & Daughter of Liberty for the day (yes we were in Liberty Square when we were chosen). I still have the medal they gave us for this honor (we were chosen randomly).

Only ate counter service and we liked Pinocchio's (also at at Pecos Bills and it was good too).

In 1983 on a high school band trip, we only had 6 hours in EPCOT. I was with 2 girls who were able to sweet talk the cast member into letting us cut the line at Journey into Imagination because we were running out of time before we had to leave (our plane was leaving later that afternoon).

I remember in 2008 driving to WDW we were on our honeymoon and every once in awhile my DH would scream 'OMG we are going to disney world" and scare me!

Poly, Hawaii building. Gorgeous, conveinent and sooo relaxing

ASMo, it wasnt that bad, we stayed twice but we enjoyed Asmu much better.

I have several I just cant pick one.. POTC, HM and People Mover. POTC has so many child hood memories, I love the decor in HM and I love to relax, cool off and ppl watch while on the people mover

In 2009 my family unfortunately got in a fight we all split up but made up later, we missed our dinner ADR at Biergarten but my DS who was almost 16 at the time made an ADR all by himself for our family at Nine Dragons and saved the evening.

For Food its Le Cellier the mushroom filet and for ambiance I LOVE San Angel

On this last trip we got a surprise upgrade to first class on the way down!

LODGING

8. What is your favorite place you have stayed at and why? It does not have to be on property::

The Wilderness Lodge. LOVE IT every time we walk into the WL lobby! We were on the top floor right at the top of the totem pole that is above the check in desk. It was a "honeymoon suite" but not a concierge level room at the time (so the price was more reasonable). It was for our honeymoon!


9. What is your least favorite place you have stayed at and why? (It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place, it's just that maybe out of all your list of favorites, this would be your least favorite)::

Probably when we stayed offsite. It was a very nice timeshare gifted to us by our very generous sister and brother in law. It was really great, but we felt like we were leaving our Disney vacation every night when we drove off property to get to the timeshare.


MAGIC KINGDOM

10. What is your favorite attraction in the MK?

Oh man, how can you pick just one? I guess right now it is Splash Mountain, but I really love the Tomorrowland Transport Authority (People Mover). Philharmagic too!!

Stitchs great escape, Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse

12. Tell me a random memory you have involving the MK.

We were in the Magic Kingdom and my 3 year old was afraid of the characters. He would walk around saying, "I don't like the customers!"

I was alone with my 3 & 5 year old boys for an afternoon and it was raining, I decided to take them to the SFR Treehouse, not realizing I would just be taking two little guys with rain ponchos that were too long up and down a ton of stairs. UGH! Not fun.

13. What is your favorite place to eat in the MK?

Cosmic Rays is a favorite of mine because it is nostalgic to me, but my husband loves Casey's so I like going there for him.

Soarin'!

I really didn't enjoy the Michael Jackson movie last year when I saw it. It was kind of like Michael Jackson battles the Borg. Not at all what I expected. Captain EO, that's it.

Last week at EPCOT we ate at a lagoonside table at the Rose and Crown, and then had the best view ever for Illuminations!

Sadly, I don't have a favorite. There are a few places I like, but I would really like to find a favorite that I look forward to going to each time we visit.

--On the flight to Disney for our honeymoon we were upgraded to first class.

LODGING

--Tie between Yacht Club and Poly. I love them both for different reasons.

Yacht Club is my dream resort. I love walking to EPCOT since it's my favorite park. Also love the elegance of the resort. The rooms are comfy and always quiet.

Poly is my other fave for sentimental reasons. It is the first Disney hotel stayed at as a child. Bring back memories of my father who has passed away. I also took my children here for their first trips so I have those memories as well. Overall, just love the smell, sounds and sights of the Poly. It holds a special place in my heart.


9. What is your least favorite place you have stayed at and why? (It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place, it's just that maybe out of all your list of favorites, this would be your least favorite)::

--I have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside twice and will not be going back. I adore the theme and grounds of the resort but my 2 stays there were both the worst of any of my Disney trips

--1976 was my first trip. This being the bicentennial they had a parade called "America on Parade". I can still remember sitting on the curb watching those American characters with the huge heads walking up the street. Also, I remember the same exact scenario in 1986 when it was Disney's 15th year celebration. I can hear the music, see the dancers and the floats in my mind. That was my 2nd trip!

I remember every day I would hope we would win. Well, our last day my Dad put his ticket through and he was declared a winner. Everyone got so excited and he won..... a hat! LOL It was so funny.

Yes, one year we flew out of Montreal, driving there from Vermont and we got stuck in commuter traffic -- thinking we were going to miss our flight and running like crazy through the airport with a very young DS, DSister, DSIL and DH. We must have been quite the sight, and the best part of all is we made our flight!!

1. Polynesian Resort for the proximity to my favorite park and the atmosphere in the evening.
2. POFQ - for the intimate size that makes your room generally steps away from the bus after a long park day as well as the boat to POR and DD.

9. What is your least favorite place you have stayed at and why? (It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place, it's just that maybe out of all your list of favorites, this would be your least favorite)::

A resort that I prefer less in Disney beats any day I'm not there, so no particular least favorites.

The first time I saw the Castle with my Mom. It was her first plane ride at age 75 and when she saw the Castle with us for the very first time, I felt the Pixie Dust all over again.

We went to Epcot in October 1982 for the grand opening, and had dinner reservations in Germany. We actually started out in the Magic Kingdom and park hopped over to Epcot. We were parked in the Magic Kingdom parking lot; however, the tram to the parking lot for the Magic Kingdom had stopped running and it was late and dark. Thankfully some nice cast members walked us out to our car and helped us find our way.

I can't really say yet as we haven't eaten at every place in Epcot, yet.

Drive. We live in the FL panhandle near the AL line so it isn't too bad of a drive for us.

Referee the kids, drive, referee the kids, read, referee the kids. You get the idea with 4 of them there's a lot going on in the back of the van, lol.


7. Do you have any particularly memorable or interesting experiences you can recall happening on your journey to Disney World?::

My oldest daughter's first trip; she was about 3 1/2. She was in love with Ariel and everything The Little Mermaid. After standing in line to meet Ariel at the grotto and get her autograph she was on cloud nine. We got back to the hotel late that evening and put her to bed. She woke up at 3 a.m. out of dead sleep and yelled "Mommy! Ariel signed my book Love Ariel. That was so sweet!" then she lay right back down and went to sleep. It was hilarious. She was so overwhelmed by that moment it even woke her up. LOL

Can't really think of an over the top favorite. We always stay off property because of the cost. Hoping to stay on property this trip.

Can't think of an experience that was bad. We just love being in Orlando so much that we pretty much enjoy anywhere we are.

That's a hard one. Space Mountain or Haunted Mansion

Hall of Presidents My parents used to take us there in the middle of the day so we could nap when we were kids. It kind of still has that effect on me.

My girls meeting Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum for the first time. I had oldest daughter's hair in 2 french braids. The Tweedles each grabbed a braid and began having a (gentle) tug of war with my daughter's head.

Yummm Cinderella's Royal Table, Crystal Palace for breakfast, and Pecos Bill's for CS.

SPLASH MOUNTAIN! I love the story and the big drop at the end. When my six year old cousin went on it every drop he saw he would ask me if this is the big one!

Sentimentally, I still love "It's A Small World" (I know you are all singing the song in your head now. :rolleyes1) I also love, "The Hall of Presidents" - no matter your political persuasion you can't help but feel proud to be an American after seeing that.

12. Tell me a random memory you have involving the MK. We were waiting to eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table (before it was a character meal) and Snow White walked into the waiting area. My DD (2 ½ at the time) was literally speechless. Snow White said, “Your bashful, I have a friend named Bashful.” It was priceless.

We were eating at Rose & Crown when our waitress came over to us and said there would be no Illuminations that evening because Mickey couldn’t make it over to Epcot after starting Fantasmic in Hollywood Studios. She then asked my DD (5 at the time) if she would like to start Illuminations. Another magical Disney moment.

If you are literally talk outside of Disney at Orlando then it would be Castaway Cay but if we are talking about outside of Disney altogether then it would be anywhere I can sit on the beach with a fruity drink in my hand.

Drive about a thousand miles...I'm not exaggerating:crazy2:

Keep my young children busy :laughing:


7. Do you have any particularly memorable or interesting experiences you can recall happening on your journey to Disney World?::

Our van overheated while driving at night...luckily the kids weren't with us, because there was no more room in the wrecker driver's truck!:crowded:



LODGING

8. What is your favorite place you have stayed at and why? It does not have to be on property::

My favorite place to stay is Wilderness Lodge because of the boat ride you can take to get to Magic Kingdom::yes::


9. What is your least favorite place you have stayed at and why? (It doesn't necessarily have to be a bad place, it's just that maybe out of all your list of favorites, this would be your least favorite)::

Anywhere off-property...it just doesn't feel like the "whole Disney experience" if we stay elsewhere.



MAGIC KINGDOM

10. What is your favorite attraction in the MK?

Space Mountain-love the thrill!


11. What is your least favorite attraction in the MK?

Stitch's Great Escape...didn't really see the point of it...


12. Tell me a random memory you have involving the MK.

I've loved MK even before I knew what it looked like. My parents took my brothers to WDW when I was only 1 years old. I didn't get to go until I was 25 years old-I can remember my first time there-I didn't hear any kids crying or whining. I get teary-eyed getting ready for a trip there, because it is just so special to me:lovestruc

The Chrystal Palace. Great food and great company(Pooh & friends):tigger:

Into Imagination with Figment:figment: Figment is just so darn cute! And we love the song!

Mission:Space I am claustrophobic. I've been on it a few times, but just the thought of it gives me the hee-bee-jee-bees!:crazy2:


16. Tell me a random memory you have involving Epcot.

We took one of tours(I can't remember the name of it, but it took all day)and it started in Epcot and I learned some great things about Epcot that made me appreciate it more.

the new Star Tours...it's so cool!!

Lights. Motors. Action. too noisy...just not my thing

Pop Century, it was far away on all the bus stops but I loved the different decades

Saratoga Springs was beautiful but it was so easy to get lost walking around. Happened quite frequently
