I will be booking an Alaskan cruise on the Wonder for June of 2023. I read the stateroom categories and am a little confused. Do all Cat 5 and Cat 6 rooms have clear walls? If not, what category do I need to book to guarantee that. We don’t want the white wall. Thanks for your help!

The white wall verandas are at the ends of the ship. Verandas on most of the ship are clear.

According to the DCL website, category 6A has solid whitewall verandas, so you should be OK with anything in Cat 5. For extra reassurance, you can select something midship.

When you get into staterooms, it will specify "Obstructed View", "White Wall", or "Veranda" on the DCL site.

Cat 5 are all unobstructed. a,b,c just tells you how and centered they are. Like 5A is deck 7 mid, 5b is 7 forward and aft and 6 midship, etc.

Thank you for your help! I booked Alaska in June of 2023. Cat 5B, Deck 7 on the starboard side. Hope its a good location.

Not your question but I LOVED my white wall verandah. We were the very last room before the rooms that face the back of the ship and the verandah was huge! We had loungers!

7A Navigator's Verandah
6A White Wall Verandah
5C Standard Verandah, Aft or Forward on 6 or Aft on 5
5B Standard Verandah, Aft or Forward on 7 or Midship on 6
5A Standard Verandah, Midship on 7

Yep, my mother-in-law books Accessible staterooms and her verandahs have room to play basketball on them.
