To say we had a fabulous time would be an understatement and this story illustrates it best. My DH, who wasn't all too thrilled about the $, etc. for the cruise, said to me on Monday afternoon as we were lounging alone by the pool, "You know, we should do this every year." I said, "Take a vacation by ourselves?" He said, "No, go on a cruise at Spring Break." I nearly fainted! (Of course, we're booked for 2010! I didn't waste any time on that.) My DD practically stayed in the Oceaneer's Club and DS only spent the Castaway Cay day with us. EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING was first-rate all the way, though the pools were very crowded on the first day. We weren't too thrilled with the Parrot Cay menu/food the first night, but we ended up with Triton's twice and then Animator's on the last night. Those are fabulous restaurants, so I think Parrot Cay is more like "downscale", but some people prefer that. The only thing I never saw posted on these boards is the departure breakfast times. Some early dinner seating folks were scheduled for a 6:30 a.m. breakfast on Thursday. I would not have cared for that and luckily we had the late seating so our breakfast time was 7:45. We could have eaten at Beach Blanket, but we enjoyed our last morning in Animator's with DD, who joined us for a change!
We had a verandah room and the view was absolutely breathtaking. This forum was extremely helpful in preparing us for our cruise, but if anyone has any questions that you haven't seen answered, I'll be happy to answer them.
