Anyone else have The Crud?

I've been sneezing and coughing and sniffling all durn day.

It's driving me nutso. I had to use my lunch break to wait in line at the pharmacy to buy Tylenol Cold and Sinus.
Since when do you have to show ID and sign an agreement to buy that stuff?!

Its been a while now! I cant stand it! They want to made sure your not a Meth dealer. Thats what they are using it for to make Crystal meth!

I'm lucky I've been working in a standalone drive-thru (no customer access whatsoever, just two tellers) the past two days.

Someone got grouchy with me today and my coworker said "Sometimes you just wanna kill em!" and I was like
"Give me a second, I'll just sneeze on his stuff before I send it back out!"

Patsy, that reminds me of a story about something I did that I am not proud of, but I still find somewhat amusing.

I worked at Sea World from the ages of 17-21. Those people who walk around the stadiums selling little squeaky puppets? That was me. But sometimes I would work in the Wild Arctic gift shop where the simulator ride lets out into the polar bear exhibit.

There was a really sniffly lady I waited on who SNEEZED ON HER MONEY and then handed it to me. I put it aside in my register, and then virtually took a bath in Purell hand sanitizer. I had planned to keep it there so I wouldn't keep touching it every time I had to make change.

But then, this other lady came along. And she was really, REALLY nasty to me for no reason whatsoever. She was one of those people who looked down on theme park employees despite the fact that most of us were under 20 and paying our own way through college. But whatever. Anyhow, she pushed me and pushed me and finally handed me a $20. She needed a dollar in change.

We had a busy night last night! Amanda's school had an ice cream social Welcome back to school! The kids had a blast! Amanda said it was like a mini Fun Day! They had ice cream, games, a DJ, there was massages for the adults. Didnt get to do that because we worked it! Rich helped pass out water and I handed out the welcome back binders. It was from 6-8. The teachers were there. It was very nice!!!

We had "Curriculum Night" at DDs elementary school last night. (Must have been the night for that kind of stuff! ) It wasn't half as much fun as Amanda's though! The night before we had a "College Night" at one of the local convention halls. Logan and I went to that, too. It seems like there's always something these days!

TaeJa, as for your last post that was edited ( ) hang in there. I'm sure it's very hard but will get easier as time goes on. You have to do what's best for you and your family. I'm kind of in the same boat with the subbing thing. I will have mixed emotions when it finally happens!

Wow Amanda's school sounds pretty cool! We had our back to school BBQ last night. They just provide hamburgers hotdogs dj and prizes. We brought a cooler of drinks and chips. It was a record heat day yesterday and at the time the BBQ started at 5 it was 95 degrees. You should have seen Angelina when I picked her up from field hockey She was soaked in sweat and her coach was making them end a 2 hour practice with death sprints and push ups. Some girls actually were right on the field. I don't get it but I guess it's just me. Sydney is at Libby Lu right now at yet another birthday party. My niece just called and asked if we would come watch her cheer today so I guess it's off to the football field. Oh Yay
