Ahhhhh siblings. They're great that way aren't they?!? :rotfl2: Sounds like a typical day in my house. :teeth:

Yep! :rotfl: I thought because of the age difference between them(she's 8 he's 20) we wouldn't have all the sibling rivalary and fighting but I was wrong! :teeth:
She says now that he's 20 he isnt any fun any more. SHe liked it when he was 18. :thumbsup2

Sibling rivalry transcends all ages, that's for sure. Mine have a 9 and 7 year age difference over their sister and they still fight like they're all 6 :rolleyes1 . I don't think there's an age difference great enough to avoid it. :confused3

I'm looking back at my notes. Pirate night still on our 3rd night, Tuesday? Anyone have a guess at our rotation..... I have TAAP and APPT written down but not sure why. I can't remember if there was anything I wanted to sign up ahead of time for beside Palos. What are ya'll looking to sign up for on June 5th?

I am a slacker. I haven't purchased yet. Do you want to get shopping bags or goodie bags? :rotfl2: :teeth:

I thought we were exchanging at dinner on Pirate Night? Not too fond of the pre-boarding exchange. I have my rolling cooler and beach bag filled with mixers and alcohol. I cannot possibly keep track of goodie bags.

Side note: I will need 5 adult bracelets and 2 childrens bracelets. I like lime green and as long as it says "It's time!" I am happy as a pig in mud. :woohoo:

Wednesday, May 3rd I am going to ask you to vote on the DIS meets on board. Think about your schedule and what you would like to commit to.

This is why I only have 1 ;) That may change in the future but I have such fond memories of my brother beating the crap out of me on a regular basis :goodvibes

pirate: I kind of agree with Ker-Bear as to exchanging pirate goodies. I'd rather just pack mine and distribute at dinner on Pirate night. The hacky sacks aren't heavy but they'd be bulky to take to port. I'd rather stow them away til we get there. Is that okay with everyone else?

I haven't commented about the sibling thing b/c I don't have any. Maybe my parents were trying to spare me of the physical pain inflicted by older/younger sibs. :lmao: Honestly, I pleaded w/ my mom during her early signs of hot flashes to give me a sibling, but it never worked. All I got was, are you kidding?

Here is who I have linking dining:

Ker-Bear & family/friends: 7 people
purplern & family: 4 people
taeja71 & family: 6 people
LCTsmom & family/friends: 10 people
Piecey & friend: 2 people
Blackunicorn & family: 4 people
reallyfunmom & family: 4 people

If you are not on this list and want to be let me know. Again, you do not have to sit at a table with us crazy DISer's  I can always get your group their own table just in our section. I for one will be at Palo on the last night if I have my way :woohoo: :bitelip:

Let me know....

:wave2: Hello, there are serious decisions to be made in the next couple days. I hope you will consider joining in the fun. We would love for you to be involved! We are deciding how many and what size memory bracelets to order, we have to decide on where and when we are going to have our meet(s), and decide on which t-shirt design will be for our group. Also, we'd like to know if you'd be interested in linking your dining reservations with us. We'd love to eat with you.

There's still time to jump in and join us! Don't feel left out. We want you to be part of the group! We'll be looking for your posts!

I received the following reply from a Disney expert on another site. My question related to what happens if you are staying in WDW (which some of us are) when a hurricane is approaching: :rolleyes2 My mind is always on the weather pirate:

I actually have first-hand experience with this one. Minnie Answer and I rode out Hurricane Charley at the World. You've given me a great opportunity to explain what usually happens at the World during a hurricane.

In the unlikely event that a hurricane is imminent:

First and foremost, WDW resort buildings are built to withstand hurricane-force winds. You will be told to shelter in place at your resort room.

If the parks do not open at all (dependent on what time the hurricane is predicted to hit), you will be instructed to stay in your resort room until the storm has passed. If you have patio furniture, you'll be asked to bring it inside the room. You'll be told to keep the drapes closed and to stay away from windows.

If the parks open for part of the day, you'll be told by phone announcement and written message at your resort what time the parks are expected to close. When the parks close, you'll be instructed to leave immediately in an orderly fashion, and told to return to your room and stay there, as described above, until the storm passes. Transportation will run continuously to the resorts until every guest has cleared every park.

Many guests consider it to be an inconvenience when the parks have to close early, but it is absolutely necessary. The Cast Members are charged with getting all guests to a safe place, and to secure the parks and resorts before the storm. Further, Cast Members must have time to get to their own homes to secure them and to make sure their own families are safe. Safety is always the number one priority.

NOTE: These are just general guidelines for guests. In the event of a real storm, please follow whatever instructions are given, which may change from the above depending on circumstances. WDW Cast is fully trained to handle emergencies, so be sure to listen to their instructions and follow them.

TIP: Be sure to have non-perishable food and water or other bottled beverages in your room. Hurricanes can take several hours to pass, and you should never under any circumstances be out wandering in one. Even when the eye passes over, and there is relative calm outside, do not leave your room. In a very short time, the storm will start again, and you may be caught off-guard.

MYTH BUSTER: Having been in the Magic Kingdom a few hours before Hurricane Charley hit, I can report that at no time did any of Cinderella Castle's turrets leave the castle. They are built to withstand extremely high winds, and are not removable.

Mine did too! In fact I remember him pulling all the eyelashes out of my dolls eyes.

Same here. I guess I "broke" my mom. I'm sure she'll tell you all horror stories about what a p.i.a. I was. :lmao: :rotfl:

Wow, cool report. Thanks for sharing. Hurricane season can make your travels very interesting. Bill, you plan on meeting with us? T-shirts? wristbands? Let us know, we'd love you and your family to join us!

Now that I am married and have 3 whirling tornadoes of my own, my dad constantly reminds me how much a pain in the butt I was to my mom. My mom was the quiet type. I tended to have beef with her-funny, I can't remember why though.

Thanks Kerry for making the dining list. I thought about finding simple table decorations, ReallyfunMom would you be interested in picking up maybe 6 table decoration cascades/trees? They look kind of like a spewing waterfountain...sorry I couldn't think of any other imagery. I don't think there are "Disney" themed fountains so I was going to put glitter on Mickey paint samples and just staple them on to the foutain. Ya following me here? I thought it would dress up our tables a little more considering all you see are tiny tea light candles. What are your thoughts, RFMom?

Ker-Bear your posting anniversary is coming up.

Oh I'm not the decoration type, really. We didn't have them at my wedding even. (Too practical/functional for my own good, my house is a decorators nightmare, looks more like Chucky Cheese than Good Housekeeping.)

I'd be more into getting something for the kiddos toward goodie bags just notices that some people had signed up for 3 or 4 things and maybe the kids were getting a lot of stuff so if they wanted me to handle eyepatches or pirate necklaces or something, I could do that instead of coming up with an original idea. How about I bring some pirate money, dubloons, for the goodie bags? I didn't see that on the list, maybe I'll think of something else too.

Just found a pretty neat site for pirate stuff not that I remember the rules about posting links for businesses, maybe not allowed... anyway.

Seem to have some decent quality looking dabloons and does anyone think an eyepatch the kids can see thru sounds good? Never heard of it before but seems like a good idea.
