Lisa I know how tough that can be! :grouphug:

Thanks everyone. :grouphug:
Lisa, have you bought advanced tickets to the new POTC yet?!

I bought some last night.
We're having an 8:00 PM showing Thursday night-- I snatched one of those up, pronto!

Patsy, I bought tickets to the 11:59 p.m. show the minute they were released. Then they added the earlier shows so now we're hoping to get tickets to the 8 pm show, too and go twice! :rotfl: :dance3:

You Know Your a Mom When...

You can't find your cordless phone, so you ask a friend to call you, and you run around the house madly, following the sound until you locate the phone downstairs in the laundry basket.
You spend an entire week wearing sweats.
Your idea of a good day is making it through without a child leaking bodily fluids on you.
Popsicle's become a food staple.
Your favorite television show is a cartoon.
Peanut butter and jelly is eaten at least in one meal a day.
Your baby's pacifier falls on the floor and you give it back to her after you suck the dirt off of it because you're too busy to wash it off.
You're so desperate for adult conversation that you spill your guts to the telemarketer that calls and HE hangs up on YOU!
Spit is your number one cleaning agent.
You're up each night until 11 PM vacuuming, dusting, wiping, washing, drying, loading, unloading, shopping, cooking, driving, flushing, ironing, sweeping, picking up, creating lesson plans, changing sheets, changing diapers, bathing, helping with homework, paying bills, budgeting, clipping coupons, folding clothes, putting to bed, dragging out of bed, brushing, chasing, buckling, feeding (them, NOT you), PLUS swinging, playing baseball, bike riding, pushing trucks, cuddling dolls, rollerblading, basketball, football, catch, bubbles, sprinklers, slides, nature walks, coloring, crafts, jumping rope, PLUS raking, trimming, planting, edging, mowing, gardening, painting, and walking the dog. You get up at 5:30 AM and you have no time to eat, sleep, drink or go to the bathroom, and yet ... you still managed to gain 10 pounds.
In your bathroom there is toothpaste on the light fixtures, water all over the floor, a dog drinking out of the toilet and body hair forming a union to protest unsafe working conditions.
You count the sprinkles on each kid's cupcake to make sure they're equal.
You hope ketchup is a vegetable because it's the only one your child eats.
You have time to shave only one leg at a time.
You hide in the bathroom to be alone.
Your kid throws up and you catch it.
You consider finger paints to be a controlled substance.
You cling to the high moral ground on toy weapons; but your child chews his toast into the shape of a gun anyway.
You find yourself cutting your husband's sandwiches into cute shapes.
You're eating out with a lunch friend and you say "I bet I can eat my spinach faster than you can."
You can't bear to give away baby clothes--it's so final.
You hear your mother's voice coming out of your mouth when you say, "Not in your good clothes."
You stop criticizing the way your mother raised you.
You read that the average five-year-old asks 437 questions a day and feel proud that your kid is "above average."
You know you are a mom when the gifts you love most are made from construction paper or popsicle sticks, watercolors or glitter, even fingerpaint. A bouquet of dandelions that are "just for you mommy" are treasured more than a dozen roses, the macaroni necklace more than a gold charm.

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!

:woohoo: GO TAEJA!

Oh, quite the opposite! Hehe.....summer is coming, look out! I'm hoping for rain, the fires are burning only about an hour away from me *sigh*

But other than that! Peachy :goodvibes

Erica, how's your house looking?

Well.......the office looks great! As for the rest of the house, we kind of fell into a "we'll paint next weekend" slump for the last two months.....:rolleyes1

BUT, we are prepping the hallway tomorrow, and have big plans to paint. Next weekend. For real this time.

Know what I'm doing right now?

Finishing my scrapbook from OUR cruise - looking at the pics and wishing I were crossing the Atlantic right now like our friends! They got a great last minute deal, $850 each for an inside cabin for the repositioning. They wanted us to go, but it's not like we have $1700 lying around, 14 extra vacation days each, or a way to get back home from Barcelona!

I don't know whether to be happy for them, or to hate them! :rotfl:

:scared1:  :rolleyes1 :cool2:

They go skimming every chance they get! :thumbsup2

We have fires all around us. Some days, it's so hazy and smokey, that we can't see a mile in front of us. :scared1:  The smell is unreal, it feels like it's our own house burning.

Oh Lisa, I didn't know you were that close to the fires. Be safe

On a lighter note>>>

Break out your baking pans bumpers b/c TODAY is National Chocolate Chip Day!

Thanks TaeJa! Thankfully, we got a TON of rain yesterday and are expecting more today. Now we'll be getting into rainy season where we can't get a break from the rain. Go figure! :confused3 :rotfl:

My parents are going to GA and then to St. Augustine (sp) area next week. Sure, go towards the tropical storms and fires :sad2:

Glad to know that rain is on its way :goodvibes

Taeja, did you decide on a name yet? :)

Yes, Timothy James. It WAS Timothy Elias, but Elias just hasn't grown on me. So, dh presented me with Timothy James. Its my maiden name. My dad is the last of his mom's side of the branch and so there's the story for the middle name.

But hey, I've got great news-

If Thumper doesn't arrive on his own by Thursday 5am and the LND floor isn't full, I am scheduled to be induced! Praise God! He said, typically, we don't induce before the 39th week (of course when I heard that it was in that dreamy low tone like in the movies), but its when he said, but since this is #4 and you haven't progressed, but are having regular contractions, let's get you on the books. We were thinking he was thinking some time after Sunday, but he came back and said, "How's Thursday?". I aksed, THIS THURSDAY?! SIGN ME UP! sO, that's how the dr. appt went today.

I did tell him that'd my friends would've called if things went the other way.

I am so freakinly happy!
