Here's what it looks like. They've added life size soldiers and candy canes around the exterior of the monument. Its truly a beautiful sight.

All the white lights closest to the buildings are cars. The Christmas tree lighted buidlings are IPL (Indiana Power and Light) although I think its a different company name now. sorry for rambling.

The last I read (yesterday's paper) the Union company that does all of this for free is replacing all the bulbs hoping to get it relit before Monday night football.

Its funny John Madden was commenting on the lights (the game before the Colts Titans game) that he couldn't believe that people were flocking downtown instead of away from it. That's how nice downtown Indpls. is now.

I hope you can see this. The night after Thanksgiving there's a big tree lighting ceremony with fireworks and all. The program includes singers, the mayor, maybe the gov, and of course Santa.

Anyone sell on Half.com?

I listed one of my textbooks on there and actually sold it-- I was pretty excited. Half.com gives you a deadline to mail the book by to get a shipping credit and I made that deadline. I, stupidly, seem to have tossed the receipt though. Well I got an evil e-mail demanding I refund their money two days after my deadline to ship (as if a book could possibly get from WV to CA by Media Mail (which is what Half.com TELLS you it tells sellers to use) ) so I'm so expecting them to ruin my rating and leave me bad feedback and such Frustrating, impatient people!
I'll admit I sorta forgot about the book until the very last day that I had, but I still made the deadline. I figured with thanksgiving falling in the time frame they alloted, I was doing good! Not to mention I assumed the book would be used for next semester and this lady is telling me her son is losing credit in a class THIS semester for having the wrong version of the book and it's my fault and she wants her money back to go buy a new copy in the campus bookstore.

Shouldn't she have just done that in the first place.. and isn't it awfully late in the semester to be so worried about it NOW?!?
Stupid people! Seriously!

Sorry. This is my gripe station. I can't gripe at work because this one lady mocks my 'juvenile' life. I took the Chase Wellness Assessment and it said I needed to reduce the stress in my life and two of the other tellers LAUGHED at me. I was sorta pissed. They said I didn't know what stress was because I didn't have kids and I told them that they had CHOSEN to have kids and just because I didn't have any and wasn't at the same point in life they were at, didn't mean my life was peaches and cream! I was so angry! They got quiet after that.

I also asked to go to a funeral for my Aunt on Tuesday and told my boss I'd stay over and just 'take a lunch' as my funeral time. He tried to tell me I'd be gone for three hours and I kept telling him I would only need one and he looked at me and said "Patsy. Listen to me. I've actually been to a couple funerals in my life."
I wanted to go "Oh, really? Did you go to six your senior year of high school? Three within three months? 'Cause I did."..

That stinks about the book buyer, Patsy. Some people are totally unreasonable. I've never sold anything on Half.com, but I've sold on eBay and it made me very nervous. I was always afraid that someone wouldn't feel the same way about an item as I represented it. I'm always really cautious before I list anything.

That lady you work with is ridiculous as well. How dare she say that to you! There are a lot of nice people in the world but there sure are a good number of idiots!

Dontcha hate when they do that? I got these special chopsticks from a restaurant at the end of July...really they were kiddy chopsticks that are held together with a rubber band (yes I'm that lame that I can't figure out how to use a real pair of chopsticks properly. Must not be properly coordinated ). But anyways...the DAY after I got them...I come home from work to have my mom telling me not to get mad...but that my dog had chewed them up.

So the party was interesting. I fell asleep (who'd of thunk!?) and ended up being late. I got bored last night and dyed my hair brown (and chopped it all off awhile ago).. and a couple people had NO clue who I was. They were like "Who is that? Why did she just sit down next to Autumn??"
when I went to work this morning my manager pointed at me dumbfounded for a couple minutes before he finally went "You used to be blonde?.. Right?.."

Hehe.....I did mine last night too - we were walking through Target yesterday, and up comes my husband with a box of Garnier Highlights. He said "I think you would look so cute with these!"



Anyhow, I did them last night and they came out pretty nice. No one noticed at our party last night! Except him.

I tryed dying my hair earlier this year and the only color it came out was.....black. I don't know any technical terms but, my hair doesn't suck in the hair dying chemicals (home kits any way). So, I guess if I want to change my hair color I'll have to get it professionally done.

You gals are so lucky to be able to dye your hair yourselves.

Selling any thing yourself can be nerve wracking.

We're all well, thanks! Teia's doing great, getting annoyed with her sling. She's not complaining so we're thankful for that! She wants EVERYTHING for Christmas!
