Sorry, my computer went crazy. It kicked me out and then I couldn't get on the internet period. so, I am very happy to be online right now.

Bulge? The bulge from the others didn't go far. I'm in that inbetween stage, creeping out of my normal clothes, but not large enough to justify wearing maternity wear.

Hey everyone We have fallen to page 2 I have been a lurker and just trying to catch up. I wanted to tell you all about my awesome weekend though!!! I turned 40 on Saturday and not real happy about it. Last weekend we were having friends over abot 6 couples and kids and my DH had someone bring a cake and SURPRISE it was supposed to be my birthday party. I hadn't wanted anything so I was a little annoyed but whatever we had fun so I thought that was the end of it. Well Friday night I had BUNKO at my house ans John took the girls out for the evening and came home around 10:00 pm and acouple of my good friends stayed around to have a few more drinks. When he comes in he hands me a card with a letter in it telling me that my REAL birthday surprise was to start the next day at Noon.......

He had arranged for me and my 5 best girlfriends to be picked up by limo where we went to lunch at Panera bread, followed by pedicures, then we checked into 2 rooms at the Embassy suites. At 6:00 the limo picked us back up to have dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant (Nestico"s)After dinner we went to the casino, followed by much bar hopping and drinking until2:00am. We then went back to Embassy suites for the night and had a good old fashioned girlie sleepover. I was in such shock that my dh could pull off such a big endeavour without my knowing.

I wis I could figure out how to post some of the pictures (at least the earlier in the night g rated ones ) I got to wear a birthday princess crown and feather boa all night!! I even sang with the band at one bar (badly)

I'm thinking maybe 40 won't be as bad as I thought!!!!!!!

Happy Belated Birthday, Suzanne! I can't imagine my husband pulling off something like this. For his 40th, I gave him a midlife crisis--we went and did kid stuff like laser tag and mini-golf. I couldn't afford a convertible, so he got a Hot Wheel, and there was no way he was getting a younger woman!

The only DIS celebrity I know of is Ty Penninginton. I haven't read any of the threads, but his screen name is ALLL over the place. I mean check most of the forums for his Good morning/day threads.....

Doing fairly well! I've been mostly lurking on here. LOL! I got a PM today from someone who knows me from the Disneyland board, wondering where I've been. I guess it's time for me to start getting more active again!

How are you? You haven't posted whether you know the sex of the baby yet, have you? I've read all the posts, but I might have missed it.

We had a blizzard the week before Halloween, but since then it's been way too warm. Today it was 75! My kids were out in shorts. I guess I ought to be grateful that I don't have to pay for heating, but still...this is ridiculous!

Just thought I'd stop in and say hi. I'll admit it...i've been lurking. Everything's okay down here in the good ol' NC. Just been busy with college and such. My mother has asked me several times why no one ever published her poetry when my Grandfather's historical fiction about ranching in the Dakota territory was published. Each time I would remind her that he and my grandmother used their life savings to self-publish and she could do the same. She would say "Oh, yes........" But then never DO anything.

It finally dawned on me that even though the Alzhemier's had not taken away the desire, it had taken away the ability even back before we knew she had the disease.

When she mentioned it last month, I did not refer to my Grandfather. I changed the subject.

BUT

I have been busy using my photo program and the collage option to create pages with photos or illustrations that fit each poem and typing in all of her poetry that I have. I am making 10 copies of each, putting each page in a plastic page protector and organizing one of each in 10 binders. I have to be done by Nov 19 as I am driving to NY on the 20th to see her.

My plan is to have her sign the title page of each and then we will wrap and tag them all. This may be the last Christmas present that she can really be part of giving. There is a copy for each of us kids and each of the grandkids plus one for her to have at the Alzheimer's Unit where she now lives.

Add that to my normal life and I am not even regularly lurking. But now you know why.

I AM LOVING THE WARM WEATHER THAT SNEAKS IN EVERY COUPLE DAYS!

Patsy on the Ebay successes (I sold Disney Catalogs when we moved--got over $200 by the time I was done and now they are in homes that want them. I have the one I liked best--the picture of Mickey and Minnie on Castaway Cay with Donald running up with a tray of drinks and one of MY SHIPS in the background. I framed the whole catalog and it is on my tall dresser with Stitch, Cruise photo at Character breakfast, Aristocats, etc, etc. )

I think that is so sweet and thoughtful. Enjoy Christmas so much with your family. You talked about the warm weather, I have been working in San Antonio Texas and we just keep hoping for a couple days of cooler weather, oh well.
