I am so bummed I have a good friend from High School that lives in Florida and I can't find her or her phone# anywhere. I have looked everywhere on the Internet. The only thing I did not do was pay one of these companies but I probably should have. She lives in Pembroke Pines.

Do you have any mutual friends who might have the number? That stinks! :sad2:

No she moved right out of high school and she lost contact with everyone but me and I have not talked to her in 5 years. So who knows. I am looking for her family too. But she is Cuban and her married name is Perez and her maiden name was Sainz. You know how many people have that name. Plus I don't speak a lick of Spanish. :rotfl:

Latest from Hurricane Track:

INTERESTING TIMES AHEAD AS TROPICS BECOME MORE OF A CONCERN

I just read a headline that energy prices have climbed today on fears of a big storm in the Gulf. To me, this is not a prudent course of action but what do I know about energy prices? However, there appears to be some concern now that the latest tropical depression could make its way in to the Gulf of Mexico. The NHC's latest advisory shows what would be a hurricane moving in to the southern Gulf of Mexico within the next five days. This track is certainly subject to change and a lot can happen as we well know. Right now, the big concern will be for Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. If TD5 strengthens, and it is forecast to do so, it would become TS Ernesto. The forecast track takes the cyclone right over Jamaica and through the Caymans. If this verifies, let's hope it is not very strong as this happens. Speaking of intensity, the NHC is showing a category one hurricane later in the forecast period but notes that the system could be signinficantly stronger than they indicate right now. The big key will be the upper level winds. If they are weak then the cyclone could become quite strong- if the upper level winds remain strong, as they are somewhat now, then this system will struggle- which would be great for anyone along its path. We are going to have to keep a very close eye on how all of this evolves. The Hurricane Hunters will be in the area today and we will know much more about the current track and intensity of TD5. The remainder of the tropics, with the exception of a weak Debby, are quiet with no additional threats of development. The east Pacific is still busy and we could see a new system develop SW of the Mexican coast over the next few days. So far, there are no threats to land in the east Pacific. I will post another update here late this afternoon.

I purchased some refinery stock SUNOCO a few days back when the storm first developed..it is up almost $3 a share. if the storm stays on track, all petroleum prices will most likely go up the closer it gets to Texas or LA...
This particular refinery has most of its plants in the northeast, so it will not be impacted as many others will if the storm develops into a major hurricane.

Well I got a little motivation and enlisted the kids all 5 of them to help me clean up. We blared the music everyone got jobs and we tried to make it fun. Sooo the girls bedrooms, their bathroom and computer loft are clean!!!!!
The 2 six year olds clean all windows, tables applianaces etc.(anything that involved spraying cleaner etc and wiping) My nephew even scrubbed the toilets!!!! I swept and mopped kitchen, foyer and dining room. Vacuumed family rooms and living room. So while there is still lots left to do  it's a huge start. Yea!!!!

Yeah!!! I love it when my place is clean. It lasts for about two days but those two days are glorious!!!!

Smart Man! I would not have even thought of doing that.

Lori,

It has rained here everyday for about a week. However it has been 90's and humid when the sun is out.

I will not bring anything longer than capris and I am queen of the tank top. I will be wearing sundresses, capris or cool cotton type skirts to dinner. My Palo's dress is that lightweight fabric that breathes and doesn't wrinkle when you pack it. :thumbsup2

Typically the weather here is the same at my parents in Daytona. ReallyFunMom lives in South Florida which will be closer to the Bahamas weather (if she lives where I think she does in South Florida :confused3 )

I think I thought you lived in Florida because of your parents. :rotfl:

Sunoco always has the cheapest gas around here. Maybe the location of the refinery is why? :confused3 It is typically 5-7 cents cheaper than the other "name brands"
