I did enjoy seeing everyone's pictures, although a few of the pictures made some of you look a little sketchy.....

I don't think they do the aqua capsule anymore, it's an old documentary (but I still watch it every time it's on).........loved all the "pictures" - I logged in this morning and almost had a heart attack when I realized I was SIX PAGES BEHIND.

In other news, there are plumbers tearing up my entire home right now and I am trying desperately not to freak out. Wish me luck.

I bought my first grader's supplies but the 8th and 10th graders don't get theirs until the first day of school. It makes that night a real joy...the stores are unbelievably packed with people in the same situation and supplies get picked through quickly.,,,,especially when the teachers ask for obscure things. The best part is that the teachers expect the supplies the NEXT DAY! Too bad I can't cut them checks and let THEM buy the stuff. We have huge supply lists for all three kids. It's a wonder we don't have to supply the toilet paper.

We are in the midst of a tax-free week for purchasing school supplies and clothing. I had already bought the supplies that my DD needed but I may try to pick up some clothes and take advantage of no tax.

In NJ, some schools post their classroom lists directly at the local Walmart,K-mart,Target etc.. My school is not up to speed yet on this,but many are. I would contact the school, you may be surprised if enough folks call that it could be changed. I am hearing it from my neighbors (being on the School Board) also. Our tax bills just came and shopping for school supplies and Uniforms (for the first time). Most of your tax $$ are going toward teachers/administration salaries and health benefit increases (sorry if anyone here is a teacher) ,as well as increased utilities. Less and Less each year is making it to the classroom. Between less federal funding and less state funding each year, there are only two real options, cut services or raise local taxes. We are ready to start negotiations with our teacher's again as their contract is expiring. When we talk about sharing some of the health care costs with the teachers,they look at us like we have lobsters crawling out of our ears.. The teachers union in NJ is very strong, as it is in many states,and we will have our work cut out for us.
That is enough school talk..this is a vacation board..sorry for the digression.

Sorry about the whole plumber thing. I'm lucky I don't have any of these hidden adult financial issues quite yet.. my only random issue was when the engine mounts on my car needed replaced (I'm such a girl, I was like... "my what?") but it happened around my birthday so my parents helped a bit ... and of course.. hikes in tuition

my wardrobe:

1st night: cute linen skirt with matching tank (it's from Ann Taylor so it's a nice feminine tank) 2nd night: Palos-my little black dress 3rd night: Pirate night! khaki capris and my black top that laces. It laces like the pirate shirts. Trying to find some cute pirate jewelry to go with it. 4th night: muted orange/pink (not bright) strapless sundress from the gap outlet.

I will bring some shorts and tops for the rest of the time. I am trying not to overpack (which I almost always do)

Not sure yet!

Hi! That would be me. I just got my digital camera and have no idea how to use it. So it will be right before the cruise before I post a pic cause it will take me that long to figure it all out. I am electronics challenged

The sea safe stuff is for sea lice right. I was telling my DH about sea lice and he said where can we get that stuff.

I booked the rasul for 6:30 on Nassau Day. We have 9:00 Palo Reservations. Do they have a shower and everything so I could just go back the room and do my makeup and get dressed?

There is a shower.

We are doing it on the sea day. Can't wait to hear how yours goes
