We never did Carnival. Hear that it is a "party" ship. Casino, lots of smoking and heavy drinking. People we have talked to said that once they tried Disney they never wanted to do Carnival again as it was so crazy.

We only ever did Royal Caribbean once and that was enough for us--same reasons.

Hm. We might just stay in Orlando then. Hit the beach, Sea World, Universal. He's never done that stuff before and I'll get a chance to hang with the bro.

Thanks, Jan

Silly Patsy. The honeymoon isn't about spending time with the bro.:p :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Well it isn't really a normal honeymoon, seeing as how it's 3 months later!

We got married in Vegas the week after finals and the only free week before summer classes.

We're honeymooning the week after summer classes and the only free week before the fall semester begins. :goodvibes

Patsy, a honeymoon is a honeymoon, whenever you take it. Make your brother get his own spouse! :rotfl:

Hubby has expressed interest in water parks, virtual reality and no roller coasters.

Sounds like a Disney-moon to me! We'll probably stay with Greg, rent a car and spend a few days at the Disney Water Parks, Disney Quest and Magic Kingdom!

He says he doesn't enjoy anything that gets his adrenaline (sp?) going like that now. :confused3

My DH and DS#2 do not like rollercoasters. I read of a study once that says that some people get more of a reaction to things like that than others. So if you get enjoyment from walking or riding a car, then a more dangerous thing might be over the top and very unpleasant. Conversely, if walking and car riding are like standing still, you might need rollercoasters and mountain climbing to get enough of a thrill to really feel it.

Make any sense:confused3

Well, it did to me. So, if someone likes the coasters, fine::yes:: , if not, fine::yes:: .

What surprised me was that as I got older I disliked them. The sudden direction changes made my jaw hurt and seemed to set me up for TMJ even if I set my teeth before starting.

So I figure that will let me be the one who holds the baby while the parents go on the coasters if we go to WDW with kids and grandkids someday.:thumbsup2

I got my cholesterol test results in the mail yesterday! My LDL dropped 12 points, my total cholesterol dropped 52 points, and my triglycerides dropped a whopping 110 points! Whoot! I might not have a heart attack after all. :thumbsup2 Well, okay, my HDL fell, too, so I have to do something about that or I'm still at risk, but I'm working on it.

AND my liver enzymes are back in the normal range, so I might not have to have a liver biopsy. I can't tell you how excited that makes me! :hyper:

Sorry...back to your normally scheduled thread now...:happytv:

Well we got bad news last week. The powers that be at UPMC decided to close our hospital and merge it with another one the brought a year ago! They are guarenteeing that we will have jobs just not where they will be! This is suppose to happen July 2009. I dont want to do floor nursing!

I got a phone call today from Mercy(The other hospital-sent in a resume Sat.) I have an interview for the ER on Wednesday!!:cool1:
Wish me luck!

Good luck on your interview!

We just found out that in two weeks when they are redoing half of our unit, we can't have any patients in any of the rooms down there. Guess what kind of patients? BRAIN INJURED!!!! We have no idea where the heck we are supposed to put them all. It's going to be for three months! :scared1:

Good luck Vicki! :yay:

eeek. Displaced people everywhere! :confused3

I quit my job Friday. Not working at all! Very excited, but apprehensive. Tom wants to get out of here ASAP/possibly reenlist so he thinks its more important for me to focus on school and finish my degree as close to him as possible. I actually think without working I might finish BEFORE him.

Since I've been old enough to work, I've worked. Kinda crazy to just sit back, relax and let someone else take care of me! :)

I also switched my major back to education-- so after this fall I'll have an Associate's in Business Admin and i'll be about 6 classes away from the student teaching for my BA in Elem. Education!

Thanks!!! Ya know the higher these people get the dumber they are! No one thinks!!! They have NO plan for us! They say hey the renovate! OK and they are done planning! My manager is under the impression we are all going to move together. Mercy has openings NOW they arent going to wait a year!

Ohhh.. the lottery. Sounds good to me!
Hubby's officially been qualified as a disabled veteran (according to the VA hospital up in Pittsburgh-- maybe they're hiring? :rotfl: ) so once his disability kicks in I think it'll be like we hit the lottery.. I won't have to work and we'll still have more money than when I worked..

..however I'm on day two and bored out of my mind!!!...:headache:

Minus the roller coasters.

No, I have to be good. Although i'd looooove a trip to Disney!!

Hubby has a major spending problem (like, he's swipe crazy and X-Box games mysteriously appear)

I fought with him until he agreed that the extra disability money goes straight into a savings account we only touch if one of us is bleeding. :rotfl2:
