Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

Hi Patsy! Glad you found us. I think I tried to email you the link to the new thread, not sure if it went through though.:confused3

I can't figure out the drums on Rock Band. I can barely handle the foot pedal alone (I am a SPAZ)! :rotfl: (I've only tried it once or twice though!)

You're gonna have a blast with it!:hippie:

Yeah, we're on a World Tour with him on guitar and me on vocals. He stinks at both drums and vocals-- so our next world tour, he's doing vocals and I'm going to try my hand at drums! :scared1:

It is possible to get on and play each other (vicki, lisa and us?)

Tom and his XBox moved in last month so I'm still getting used to it.. and I don't know much of the specifics. Rock band has totally stolen me away from my Wii, though!

...and my classwork.. :headache:

Yay for rock band!!!

The drums just take some getting used to. The hardest part for me was integrating the pedals. Yes, you CAN play each other online but you won't hear each others' vocals because of the delay. But you can talk to each other while you play, if you can concentrate on two things at once. We should all exchange names! We're, um, zweihund. Hehe.

Tom says his is tkarr2006 (any guess what his last name is? haha)

I'm still learning XBox stuff so it might be awhile before I can get on without him here (but I'll try!)

*sniff*sniff*

I bet Lisa is watching the Academy Awards for a glimpse of Johnny..

Vicki! You're a nurse!
Phew! Someone who MIGHT possibly understand.
(I know you're an ER nurse.. but you're more medically intelligent than me!)

One of my best friends had a baby Thursday. I don't know a whole lot (she's in a military hospital-- her husband is army, currently deployed in Iraq) and she's alone so I get rare, criptic text messages randomly.
The day she had her baby I got one that said "I can't be with him right now, too many complications."
Then today I got one that said "I'm still in hospital, can't even move, might need blood transplant."

...what could have happened and WHAT is a stinkin blood transplant??

I might pack up Tom here soon and his Marine Corp. id and scram to base to see her, I'm so worried!

Who needs the transfusion, the mother? Maybe she lost a lot of blood...possibly has an infection? How sad. I wonder what kind of complications she had, or does the baby have them, or both of them? Let us know if you find out anything else. Can't wait to hear Vicki's take on this....:confused3

We'll keep her in our thoughts and prayers....

Well I have never heard of a blood transplant, a blood transfusion would be because she lost to much blood and needs the transfusion. The part were you said she cant move-if she had an epidural-kind of like an IV in the spine and they inject meds there-she might not be able to move because of a spinal headache-which I hear are terrible-if that is the case then she needs a blood patch. They draw blood from her and put it in the hole and it clots and stops the spinal fluids from leaking out.

Eek. This sounds scary.

Even if she had the baby Thursday-- they'd still be doing this stuff to her NOW?

I'll assume she meant transfusion.. I imagine she's very confused.

YIKES! I had two epidurals and one spinal and let me tell you, THAT sounds horrible! :crazy2: I wonder if that's what she meant by transplant?!?!?

Are you going to visit her, Patsy?

Spinal headaches can last a while. If that is what she meant, if it was a transfusion the would want to monitor her to make sure she isn losing any more blood.

It could be. From what I hear spinal headaches are aweful any movement increases the pain. Once they put the blood patch in. The headache goes away!

Yuck! Sounds horrible! So grateful I didn't have to experience THAT! :crazy2:

Are you going to visit her, Patsy?

I couldn't get on base without a military escort (I don't think) and I doubt I could get Tom to go.. it's 8 hours from here. (He will NOT miss class)

I'd really like to. I'm afraid to call the hospital... because of the whole military thing. They all scare me! :rotfl:

I don't know what is going on and don't know why she hasn't sent me another message. It scares me. :sad1: I called and left her a voicemail asking her to please let me know what was happening and that I loved her.

I wondered when I didn't hear anything after Thursday from her, but her hubby, Leo, left her a myspace message from Iraq saying "Izaiah (baby) is perfect, you're wonderful, I love you. Call me daddy." on Saturday so I figured everything was fine.

More I think about it now, though, the more I doubt she'd of told him she was having any problems. And if he knew she was still in the hospital, I doubt he'd of left her a message online where she wouldn't see it for who knows how long.. :scared:

Patsy, what about family? Does she have someone you could call? They should give information to immediate family, hopefully someone should be able to tell you something! For all you know, she could be home and just really busy with the baby. Please keep us posted! :grouphug:

She sent me the message this morning that said "Still in hospital, can't move, might need blood transplant."

Got one about 5 minutes ago, i'm assuming a reply to my "Want a visitor?" message that said "I don't want anyone to see me like this, I can't even hold my baby."

Her mom moved to Indiana and her mom is the only one that I really knew...

At least she sent me another message, though! :)
