We were also told that the last St-Marteen stop generated a lot of negative feedback. The island isn’t ready to receive guests.

Hey, Taylor Mason was my roommate one summer during college.
We were on the 2/18/18 Wonder and we saw Taylor Mason, he was funny. We took the Under Two Flags tour of St Maarten and saw the massive destruction of homes and hotels. The carousel stop and ice cream shop had lots of cruise busses stopping there.

A CC double-dip is cool! But then, I am not one who really enjoys the ports as much as I enjoy the ship days and Castaway Cay. I feel sad for those though who were looking forward to spending time in St. Martin.

Captain Robert warns ship may rock and roll tonight.

I was on the wonder cruise that had just returned the prior night. Weather was pefect, but from 11PM Saturday to 3AM Sunday it was rock and roll, and the sliding closet doors would crash back and forth every couple minutes.

The concierges, who were great, were fairly busy the last night about planning for the changed itinerary. I believe they said the reroute was weather related.

Looks like the switched back to variety shows in the WDT.

They have made multiple stops at SXM and I do not think that is the reason for the Wonder reroute.
I was not saying it was the reason for the change. The Concierge was just stating that missing St-Marteen was not a big loss considering the state of the island. The captain said that if we kept the same itinerary, we would have rocked a whole lot more and would have arrived in St-Marteen at 3PM because of the necessary speed decrease.

Beautiful day in San Juan!

People around the San Juan mentioned how stormy Sunday and Monday were. The seas were rough which is why we stayed north an extra day.

Just got off the ship from this cruise. A lot of people we talked to were happy to be skipping St. Maarten for a double dip to CC. We were also glad that they weren't doing the same shows 2 nights in a row. Frozen was shown at 1pm and at night so we did see it twice. Overall great cruise weather except for the first night of rough seas for awhile. Announcement was made that there were 50 ft waves and that's why we skipped St. Maarten, now that would have been quite the ride!!:crazy2:
