Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

Vegaslover,

I cannot PM you yet (too new on the board), but I am hoping that Ruby (10) and I will make it to the kids' meet. This will depend on our flight schedule, which I have not received yet.

Charlene

Does anyone know what movies they will play on our cruise?

They don't have an official list for March yet, but they will for sure be playing:

-Gnomeo & Juliet (3D)
-Mars Needs Moms (3D)
-I Am Four (which my teens are really looking forward to seeing)

Maybe's Are:

-Tron
-Tangled

Plus they always show older popular movies over the cruise. Usually newer movies will play up to 4 months depending on popularity so I'm hoping Tangled is playing because I never got a chance to see it and I really want to.

Hope this helps you out.

:),
Katie

Hello. I'm joining this forum and thread late in the game, but I'm thrilled to have found it. I will be on the cruise with my daughter Ruby, who turns 10 at sea on 21 March 2011. We'll try to make it to the kids' meet on Day 1.

We're from Nanaimo on beautiful Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Any other Islanders going?

Charlene :goodvibes

PS: The patch -never touch your face after handling the patch, before washing your hands. The active ingredient in the patch can cause your pupil to dilate for hours, causing blurred vision....:cool2:

Welcome Aboard!!

My son Ashton will be turning 6 on March 21 also!! Woo Hoo!:cool1:

I wish I had gotten presents like this when I was growing up!

Is anyone going all out with Pirate costumes? I got overexcited and bought us all pirate costumes on clearance after Halloween. Now, I am wondering if it's a little much... More to pack, and I might feel more comfortable in just a pirate tshirt, instead of the whole costume. I would still bring the costumes for our girls, but maybe not for DH and me?

How many adults are in costume? Will any of you be? pirate:

On our last cruise, I felt out of place because EVERYONE was wearing costumes... this time, I am looking for something, but I definitely bought the boys full on costumes after Halloween, boot covers and all...

I'm still looking for costumes for me and my DH. But if we can't find it, no worries. I have eye patches, bandanas, and hooks!

Just in case you haven't been obsessing like I have, someone posted the MR Personal Navigators on the main boards last night, so they are available to look at/print, etc. They are a bit different than ours will be because they were in Cabo different days (they went day 3).

Also, we still have room for one more family of 4 or 5 people on our www.cabosails.com sailing/snorkeling excursion in Cabo on the first Cabo day. Send me a PM if you're interested, it will be approx $67 per person with food/open bar/drinks, snorkeling, and sailing included in that cost for 3 hours.

I bought pirate costumes for my girls, we'll see if they wear it. They thought i bought it for Halloween...still a secret a for them.:rotfl2:

Anyone start packing yet or am i just too excited.:cool1::rotfl2:

Yes, I've been obsessing ;). I love to plan! I looked at them, but I'm waiting patiently for the 2/6/11 cruise to get back since they have the same itinerary as us :rolleyes1. I hope someone post Navigators soon after.

Have you also noticed that the people either hated it or loved it. I was getting scared reading the first few reviews, but then there were some positive posts.

I just keep telling myself that they have time to get everything worked out before we board.

My 8 year old has a pirate costume. We'll probably have one for my son too. I was thinking of dressing up, but the rest of my group probably won't, so I may end up not putting it together. I will at least have some fun pirate accessories :goodvibes

In one review I read about a zip lining excursion for PV. We're thinking of doing this one. For groups of 20 they'll pick you up right at the port. If anyone is interested, let me know. Maybe we can set something up together. We're a group of 9.

I'm the same way. But I also have to remember a few important things:
1. There are 7 cruises between that one and ours. They will have lots of time to work out the kinks, as you said.
2. One terrible review was from a woman with 10 kids under the age of 12. There is no way for me to compare her experience with mine, as she has very unusual circumstances.
3. These are the DIS boards. A very tiny portion of the population of a cruise ship. I have found that people here tend to either go with the flow or be very, very picky and critical of every little thing.

Last summer we went to Disneyland for a week. I was making myself literally sick reading the DIS boards and reading all of the horror stories about people and World of Color, the crowds, etc. because the days we were planning to go were not blocked out for Annual Passes. So much so that I had to stop reading the boards for a while. When we got there, things were great. We were able to do everything we wanted with a minimum of problem and we had a great time.

Me too. I was even thinking of visiting their cruise meet board and begging someone to do it :worship:

You won't regret it. On our last cruise, the zip lining was a blast, we can't wait to do it again on this cruise with our kids. (They weren't with us last time)

Just wanted to give everyone a head's up--even if you already completed your online check-in it has changed. You now have to pick a time to check in at the port, among other things (like give your ok to be responsible for the Wave phones, etc).

So go to your reservation, go to my online check in, then click on view/edit. This will bring up a series of steps you have to click through to complete your online check in.

Just in case some of you plan to get to the port early, the earliest check-in time you can get is 10:30, which is available right now, but I don't know how long it will be if people start checking in.

Is anyone signed up to do the DCL whale watching excursion in Cabo? I noticed it is still being offered on the cruise plan page even though the excursion page description says it only lasts until March 15.
Trying to find an excursion my daughter can do since she will be in a leg cast on the cruise.

Yes, me too! I was getting worried reading the bad reviews, but lets hope they work out the kinks before March!

Thanks so much for the heads-up! I would have never thought to check that again since I had already completed all of the information. Thanks to you, I was able to get the earliest check-in time. Thanks! :goodvibes

Is this a new thing, choosing a check in time?
