Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

Your kids are a little older, so I can see why.
We try to make Elsa eat with us the first night too. Disney has been really good about pairing us up with another family who has kids the same age. So, we want her to meet them.

I was wondering what seating everyone chose. We chose 2nd seating. We have done both and we prefer 2nd seating. We like to take our time in the ports. How about everyone else?

We are on the 2nd seating also. It was the only open when we booked but i think it will work just fine.

We have 1st seating but I'd like to change us to 2nd seating. Hope we can change.

Can any one tell me what Exotic Raul is? :confused3

You should have no problem changing, first seating is the one that fills up so generally it's easy to get second. Ask your TA to handle it or just call DCL and request it. Shortly before the cruise you can see on the website somewhere what your seating is and if it got changed. We have second seating because first was already full- my DH really prefers first- but our other cabin doesn't care, so I think I'll just leave it alone. We had our TA put us on a waitlist for first seating on 3 cruises and got it twice. The third cruise we booked only about 90 days out so I'm sure we were pretty far down the waitlist by then.

The Exotic Rasul is a spa treatment that you do yourselves. It's for a couple. You go in this little room, where you are given a bowl of mud, various scrubs, etc and some instructions on which to use first, etc. It can be whatever you want it to be! Your attendant will give you instructions, and leave you alone for 50 minutes. :rolleyes1 There is a steamroom on the right with private seats. You can add water to cool your feet or to create more steam. There is a shower on the left side of the main room as well. We have always enjoyed it and the lime scrub stuff is the BEST! Just be sure to bring a watch and put it in the pocket of the robe you wear to go in... I hated not knowing when the attendant was coming back. She'll knock when you have 5-10 minutes or so left, but I always worried I wouldn't hear her because by then I was in the shower. It's only $85 for the both of you so it's a bargain. We have always been able to use the rainforest room immediately afterward as well, which was nice. Once we got champagne afterward, maybe twice- but I don't think this last time we did. I can't remember!

Thanks for the info. I'll call my TA tomarrow about changing seating time.

The Exotic Rasul sounds good to me. Will have to see what Gary thinks.

Oooh, thanks for the tip! Just booked the Exotic Rasul! :goodvibes

There wasn't a spot to put in the second name, so just wanted to confirm that it's for two?

You guys convinced me, just booked the Exotic Rasul too! Most of the good time slots were gone, but we'll make it work. Are any more time slots offered to be booked once onboard?

Okay, people. When I read the description of the exotic Rasul, I blushed. My mind probably went to a place it shouldn't have gone.

Well, I booked it for our anniversary, so I think mind was right there sitting next to yours...:rolleyes1

Hahaha

we got second seating too. I looked ahead at Port times, and wanted to get the most time in, so second seating worked best for us. Also, since we are on the West coast and don't have to deal with a time change, we usually eat a little later anyway.... We have super busy lives just keeping up with the boys and a teenager, so after school, work, church groups, baseball practices and homework.... it's about that time anyways.....

So, I just got off of the phone with DCL and was informed that there will NOT be a stop in Mazatlan afterall. She said it's for security reasons. So now there will be 2 stops in Cabo.

This doesn't affect me since I wasn't planning on getting off the ship in Mazatlan anyways, but I thought it might affect those of you that have excursions planned there.

Thanks for the info, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed..... :sad2:
Anyhow, I respect Disney's decision and I'm sure it's for the best. We are STILL going to have an amazing vacation.....

So what to do in Cabo the second day?/ Hmmmmm. Let's start brainstorming ladies (and gentlemen on the board)

Thanks for sharing that info! I was looking into doing horseback riding there, so now I need a new plan. I have done little to no planning. I feel so far behind!!!

I need to stop reading about all the bad stuff going on in Mexico. It's really freaking me out. I know there is violence everywhere, but still freaking me out.

Aw fooey! Mazatlan was our favorite stop- guess Stone Island has to wait for another trip.:headache:

Part of my reservation still says the regular schedule, but when I go to booked items it shows day 2- at sea, day 3- at sea, day 4- PV, day 5- Cabo, day 6- Cabo, day 7- at sea. Others on other sailing dates report a different schedule. Ours seems to be conflicting, or perhaps not fully updated yet.

I did send an email to my TA who is on the Dream right now. She might be able to get some straight answers being on the ship, instead of the not-so-well-informed DCL stateside reps.

Thanks for the info. I was looking forward to go to Stone Island:sad1:We booked our excursion with Disney, swim with the dolphin in Cabo and in Puerto Vallarta we booked the Yelapa and Majahuitas. I'm not watching the news or i will freak out. Let's just have fun!!:banana:

I guess Disney's website still not updated, still showing stop over in Mazatlan on the 5th day.

My plans on the website are updated but it's different from what the Mazatlan thread showed - the website shows us in Cabo back to back - Thurs & Fri? Pondering impact to our Palo reservation and the special dinner nights.

We had an activity picked out for Mazatlan & they just changed it to a Cabo activity so I'm also curious what the new activity is/details ... let me know if a group trip gets made & if you get news on the special nights .... Thanks!

My TA says she will call Disney tomorrow and see what she can find out re: nights, port times etc. I'll let you know if I find out anything useful.

Since my Mazatlan budget was so small I wonder what we can do for the same amount of money in Cabo? Got to stick to that budget since there's no extra money coming my way between now and then. Darn budgets! :rotfl2:

Maybe just a beach day at a hotel? Last time we found Cabo to be more pricey than the other ports, food and drink wise. Even if we stay on the ship the second day it beats a day at home and not on the cruise!

We were planning on staying on the ship in Mazatlan anyway. My daughter was not wanting us to take Andre off. It's too bad things are getting so scary. A year ago we took a tour with Mazatlan Frank. It was a great personalized tour that took us all over, a nice lunch at Tony's On The Beach and a massage to top it off.

I told y'all there was some wierdness going on in Mazatlan based on the government report. I'm actually kinda glad that we'll be in cabo two days since this was going to be our shortest stop. but, I do feel bad for those who were looking forward to Mazatlan.
