Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

Go to this page http://www.disboards.com/showpost.ph...81&postcount=2 and scroll down to Fish Extenders for links to info on what it is and how it works.

You need to pm ethanash1 your names, ages and stateroom number (when you have it).

Still haven't seen ethanash1 back on the thread. Anyone seen her around the boards? I think I'll send her a pm and see if she's ok.

My son is 12 and is very excited to meet other kids on our cruise. His sister can make friends with *anyone* (she's 10, almost 11) but he'd love to be already acquainted with a boy or two before we board. You can send me a PM if you want to connect the boys that way and we could trade e-mail addresses.

I joined the kids' group, but neither of my kids have their own FB pages yet. They can communicate through me that way.

My kids are Logan (12--6th grade) and Grace (10--5th grade)

Melissa

Your kids sound just like mine! My 9 year old can (and does) talk to anyone and everyone..my 13 year old would also like to have someone he already knows on board too. My kids also do not have FB, but can communicate through me as well. Send me a PM and we can work something out :)

It is January 4, but if you are on the west coast, that makes it 9 PM on January 3. I'm getting so excited to book things...it seems like it's been forever for this day to arrive!

Final payment will be made here by the end of the week, then I'll be all set at 9 on Monday night.

We broke down and booked airline tickets. We were going to drive, but got a great deal on JetBlue that we just couldn't pass up. Now trying to find a cheap-ish but decent hotel so we can go to Disneyland on Saturday before leaving on the cruise on Sunday.

Thanks for the heads up on the JetBlue tickets. We just booked the flights as well. I was not looking forward to the 15 hour drive home.

We discussed having the facebook group for the kids to get to know each other and I don't think anyone ever did it, so I just created the group. It is Dis Amigos Fiesta Cruise - Kids

Can you tell the secret is out in our house? The reveal went well and I am so relieved to be able to discuss the cruise without making sure no one was listening to my dh and I.

I don't know if anyone else has this concern...but is there any way that we can make the Kid's Facebook page a private group rather than open to the public?

I am confused. I am booking my excursions and I noticed the cabo whale watching is available. Based on the disney cruise line website it is advertised as only being available until March 15th. What do you guys think? I had ruled it out earlier because our cruise was after the 15th. I'm booking it now since it is offered.

I booked it too, but don't want to do it if we are really past the whale watching season. Other sites seem to suggest the season runs through March.

Well, if we booked it outside of Disney with an outside tour company, the excursion would run through march 31st, so maybe Disney extended the dates.

Hello Everyone!

I haven't been on this thread is soooo long and I can't believe how much it's grown! I just went through all 36 pages trying to catch up on things, and even joined the FB page. Now that Christmas is over and our cruise is paid in full (woo hoo), I can really start planning our family vacation. So please let me re-introduce myself:

Sasha(41), DH(Jeff-43), DD(Jacqueline-8 in Feb), DD(Isabella-6), DD(Ava-2)

We'll be on the cruise with my mom, Donna (63) & stepdad, Ken (56)

We're in Cabin#6510 with a porthole & my parents are in #6584 with a verandah

We already have our Palo dinner & tea reservations, but I'm wondering if I should book the nursery just in case my DD2 isn't fully potty trained by the time we cruise.

We're thinking of having our DD8 do a dolphin excursion. Anyone else? Any ideas?

That's about it for now. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all better before our cruise! Now I need to figure out how the FE & SM work....

I have decided to skip the whale watching in Cabo. I was looking at the Cabo beach break. The time says 7:15. Based on our itinerary, we can't get off the ship until 7:15. I think it's a little strange.

Paid the final payment today, so I'm ready to book things on Monday night!

I'm so excited!

We'll definitely be past the prime of whale watching season. I guess there must still be some because otherwise I don't think they'd offer the excursions. But I did go whale watching in San Diego mid-March a couple years ago- and we didn't see any whales. The operators did say at that time that it was the tail end of the season and we got free passes to return the next year as a consolation.

Hi Sasha . I'll reintroduce myself since my travel party has changed. My name is Katie (33) and I will be traveling with just my kids DS (15), DD (turns 14 in Feb) and DD(2).

I know I already answered you on FB regarding the child care, but you should book Flounders just to be safe. You can always cancel if you decide not to use Flounders, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I booked my full 18 hours just in case, but I'll more than likely end of canceling some of it. I also just started potty training DD who just turned 2 on on Dec. 29th, but I don't think she'll be fully trained by the cruise. I plan on taking her to play in the clubs with my supervision because I know she'll love to play in there.

Hmm, on the whale watch. Any thoughts on what you can see from the ship as opposed to the tour?

Palo has a tea? Where do I find details on it? Sounds fun - is it an adult only thing or do kiddos go too?

Since the date is quickly approaching for us newbies to start reserving - how do you know which night to reserve Palo? Trying to ensure we don't miss any special nights (like Pirate). Recommendations appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
reading the posts it sounds like the spa is a must do - any recommendations for services?
thanks.

Looking at excursions - any recommendation on which pirate cruise to hit? My DS (6) will have this as a must do activity. Thanks.
