hey everyone hope you are all settling back into real life ok, lol! we are just trying to avoid being scooped up like dorothy and taken to OZ w/ all the crazy storms we are having in the south lately. (my friend called them tornado tantrums on fb, lol!)

anyway, i have a question and a favor to ask. my mil is wanting to book on another cruise with us (we've booked on a may 2012 FANTASY cruise to the EC!!) but they never got (or they didn't realize what it was and tossed it) the card that we got with a pic of the Wonder w/a magnet on the back and a PIN number to use for 10% off booking another cruise. it is one PIN per stateroom so they can't use ours. i told her i would ask here since we know you all just went as well and maybe someone got one that they aren't planning to use. if so would you be willing to pm me w/ the PIN number? please? this 10% could be the difference of them going or not (even tho in the big picture it may not be THAT much $, especially given that the cruise is a year away, i think mentally it's really swaying their decision). my parents are booked to go and tho i wonder what it will be like to have to balance both sets of parents for a week, i really would love another chance to spend a week with my il's two adopted kids (who are younger than my kids and will be ours if something happens to my il's)

I got off the Wonder this week and I didn't get anything like that. I spoke with Russell, the cruise re-booking guy, and he never mentioned it either.

Where did you get the photo and magnet? Was it something you had to pick up somewhere? I don't think we got any freebies, beyond our FE gifts. Disappointed, thought we would have something special, since it was the only 10 Night offered. Nada.

the photo/magnet came in the mail and was part of a "package" that also had a card w/ the 10% discount. i wonder if it's b/c dh and fil went to a rebooking/dvc presentation and filled out a card? we didn't rebook onboard b/c we didn't know about dummy dates/cruises.

UPDATE: mil just found their card! i don't know if it just came in the mail today or if it was laying around and she found it but they do have one now. *whew*

unfortunately it caused more drama in that they didn't want to pay extra for a verandah (which i don't understand b/c it's not much more relatively speaking) and the lady dh spoke w/ at dcl couldn't find two connecting verandahs across from an available inside cabin so...we are ALL now inside cabins. i will be totally fine with it as long as mil doesn't end up cancelling making the move unnecessary, lol!

lastly, i am going to miss this group. the group we are joining for the new cruise is HUGE and many are from a group that all sailed together 2 years ago. seriously we are a year out and there are already 40+ cabins! they are all being very welcoming but the feeling is just different from our group here *sniff* any chance i can convince any of you to join us for the may 19th fantasy cruise to the EC? pretty please? you know you wanna!! you can DO it!!

I think I snuck in by accident, but are you doing 5/19/12? I'm currently booked on 6/16/12 Fantasy EC. Not sure if I want to keep it because school gets out the day before and I know the costs involved (I live in SoCal) will at least double. I;m hoping a really special offer will come around before then.

I wish! I am trying to figure out how to convince my dh do do WDW around Christmas in the next year or two. I think a cruise would be pushing it too far right now.

We did the same thing, so I would guess that you probably will. Maybe that's why we didn't get the discount PIN...

That's bizarre, like she would jump overboard with her credit card, and survive any length of time. I asked a couple of people last week, and the CMs said it is assumed that she took her own life by jumping.

that's what i was led to believe as well...but w/ no other updates, it's no wonder people are jumping on this possibility. then again, it could simply be the media running w/ "nothing". in theory, this charge could have been made months ago and just not have been posted til now. still so sad, wish her family could get some closure.

I booked it too, but don't want to do it if we are really past the whale watching season. Other sites seem to suggest the season runs through March.

We are going this the same week this March (18-25), and I was wondering if you did the whale watching and if you enjoyed it? It is not offered through Disney, but was considering doing it on our own through cabo - adventures. If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it.
