Disney Wonder March 16, 2016 4 nights to the Bahamas

I don't know how to do that! I'm new to all of this - sorry!

Hi everyone, we are debating booking this cruise or the one just prior, with a few nights on land. Whichever we echoic, I will book onboard the Wonder next week. Can anyone provide me with info regarding how much price has increased since you booked?

We are booked for our first ever cruise!! How do we join the FE? That looks fun.

I think someone usually organizes a list by cabin number where you include the ages and sex of the kids staying in your room so that people know approximately how much stuff to bring!

I intend to book this while on our December Magic cruise out of Miami as well. I have organized local Candy Exchanges and would do so on this cruise. We use FE's to give out candy or snacks that originated in a specific area. For instance once we received cheese straws from Mississippi.

LET'S GET FISH Extenders list started!

If you want to participate in the FE Exchange, I need the following info:

Your names
Your cabin number
Your kids genders and ages
Any allergies or other info we need to know
Any special celebrations (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)

I have created a spread sheet and shared the link BELOW here so we all know the ages and gender of the participants. You can create gifts for the kids or the whole cabin that is totally up to you.

Also, if we get to many cabins we will need to split the list into two. But we will see!

You can post the information here as a reply. Only 128 days we set sail!

We booked this today. I watched the price increase a bit since we first began to consider this cruise. If it's less when we're on the Magic next month, we'll rebook, but we're definitely on this cruise. As I mentioned before, if there is any interest in a Candy Exchange, please post here and I will organize.

We use the Fish Extenders to hand out candy or snacks of local or regional interest. On my last cruise, the DVC Member Cruise, there were 32 participants, and I divided us into 4 groups of 8. That way no one gets a sugar overload. I have also been on cruises where there has been as few as 3 participating cabins.

We include something about the history of the product with the treats, usually taken from the internet.
In the past, examples I've gotten:
cheese straws from Mississippi
assorted things from Hershey PA
Life savers ...these were invented in Cleveland OH
Potato shaped candies from Idaho
Cotton candy packs from the town where cotton candy was invented
Assorted candies from Tokyo Disney

The treats should be packaged or wrapped by the manufacturer. If there is interest, I'll keep a list on threads here and in February, I'll ask for cabin numbers, number of participants in your cabin, and if there are any allergies. As far as allergies, I always check with the manufacturer to be sure my gifts are safe, and if I found out otherwise, I would ask the adult in the particular cabin for suggestions.

Oh, Tom and I are senior citizens, we are DVC members and Platinum CC members on Disney.
We'll be driving to Miami from the Boardwalk Villas on embarkation day. We have done that trip before, and it worked out well.
We live in Dayton Ohio and have a home in Cape May NJ as well. We originally are from NJ.
In Nassau, once we booked a day pass at the Colonial Hilton, and the included lunch and the facilities we could use were very nice. I'm pretty sure we will do that again. There is a beach included, but I like the pool, it's larger and so, I think a bit nicer than the on board pool.

I am also originally from NJ. Point Pleasant! We will be traveling with cousins who are originally from NJ.

Did you want to do the candy as a part of the fish extenders, or in addition too?

Do you mind if I have a Candy Exchange that's separate from the Fish Extender Exchange? We really prefer small groups and treats.

Our Cape May house will be where we retire to when the time comes! The cousins we will be with live in Lawrenceville NJ!

Hi all. Count down is at 114 days!!!! There are 4 of us. Hubby, myself, boys 14 and 11. I am hoping this board gets a little more active. We are staying in Miami 2 nights prior flying into Ft. Lauderdale. The hotel is booked. Looking for fun things to do in Miami. Now this is spring break I am thinking we might avoid Miami Beach (lol) the boys might not agree. What is everyone doing in Naussa? I have read forums. Just can't decide. Can't wait!

Once in Nassau, we booked the Colonial Hilton day rate, and it was fun. I think we're leaning toward doing that again in Nassau!

Any interest in the Candy Exchange?

It doesn't matter to me. But so far we have only 3 cabins for FE. I hope we get more. My kids liked doing it!

I think the candy exchange is a cool idea too.

We signed up for Blue Lagoon excursion. We aren't exactly sure if we will keep that reservation. We just want to be in the warm sun, sand between our toes and the ocean breeze blowing in our faces!

104 days... can't wait.

We have a Merrytime cruise coming up. We just bought our candy for that cruise. If there is interest in a specific Candy Exchange here, I will organize one.

With our grandchildren we did the Blue Lagoon Dolphin experience in Nassau and it's still a conversation starter. We got the picture key change as a souvenir and I always smile when I use it. I think the grands were about 5,6&7 at the time. After the dolphins we walked around the area and there were touch tanks with cast members who explained about the sea creatures in the tanks, it was fully worthwhile!

Only had 2 SB when I got on as silver last night.
Thanks for posting, kind of you to let me know! I'm silver as well, there were none when I got on right at midnight.

Throwing it out there that if anyone has a family beach cabana they're planning to cancel, please PM me, I'd love to try to grab it up once it becomes available!
