Disney Wonder Leaving Port at 6 or later

Does anyone know why the Disney Wonder left port today past 6?I hope nothing was wrong.

No clue but I've heard that they sometimes hold the ship if there's a large group coming in on DCL purchased flights if the flights are delayed.

A lot of American flights were cancelled today due to a computer glitch.

I hope it was just flights coming in late.I know there hasn't been anything in the news here in FL today about the Disney Cruise Line.

I guess all those flights being grounded is yet another good reason to have trip insurance and also to arrive the day before your cruise leaves.

It might have something to do with tighter security due to specific threats in New York and Washington DC.

There were major airline glitches. If you purchase air thru DCL, they will hold the ship. The news said some flights were 3 hours late--it seems that one problem caused a snowball effect with connections, etc.

That's not a "for sure" answer for DCL, but the airline info came from national news.

We got off the Wonder yesterday, and our outgoing flight was delayed an hour due to the thunderstorms in the area. They also said incomings were delayed. This was at 1 pm, so that might have something to do with the late departure of the ship.

WOW!I am sorry to hear that.We are two hours from port,and we got none of the rain.It was cloudy all weekend.The sun finally shined today.

It was definately the AA glitch that held things up a bit

Captin John came on and said that he hoped we did not mind, but alot of passengers flights were coming in later then expected so we would not be leaving until around 6:00. He also said that it would not effet the time we got into Nassau. They did have the sail away party to keep people happy.
