Happy to have found this forum!! My husband and I are surprising our kids (8 and 6 year old) with this Disney Cruise!!! So excited!! Interested in the Fish Extender Exchange!

My husband and I are bringing out DD (3yr) and our DS (18yr) along with 2 brother in laws and 1 sister in law. We live about 40 minutes away from Galveston. And this is a first cruise for all of us. We will be celebrating 2 birthdays while on board. So excited!!! Good to meet all of you. Was wondering about the FE. Do we really need a Cordinator or could we just see the FE hanging up and deposit our gift then.

There are a number of different ways that people get together and coordinate an FE. You are welcome to deposit gifts in any FE you see. That would be very kind of you. However, you are unlikely to see anything in your FE if you do not sign up as part of a coordinated group.

Well, tried unsuccessfully for the last 40 min to check in. Guess I'll wait and see what happens in the morning as there is nothing I'm really stressed about getting to wait up all night to try and get. Just would have been nice to see if we could get a good PAT or even a cabana. Some consistency from DCL would be nice, I read a few threads with times ranging from midnight to 6am.

Just hopped on and got a 12-12:30 PAT, not too shabby! No Cabanas but that was to be expected. Have my printout ready to go, now it's getting more exciting!

Hello All!!! First time Cruisers EVER here with 3 kids and my DH! I really want to join a "fish extender(?)" group???? I have heard about this and purchased one but that is where I stopped. How do we become part of this?? Help!! Also, we only booked one excursion early and were planning on doing more when on the ship. Is that OK???

I forgot to add this is the first forum I ever had joined and am not tech savy. I am a rookie here too. Took me forever to figure this out. Anyways, I just read all the FE talk and I definitely can NOT be in charge of setting the list (as I am clueless) but would really like to be added. Can someone add us? I saw the mom who started this group (can't think of name now) has a group already can we hop on yours? I already have bought some fun things to add in the extenders!! Please!!!! I want the kids first cruise to be awesome!!!!

Welcome Jenn. This thread has been kind of quiet and bcwife hasn't posted in months, they could have cancelled or could just not have had the time to post. Just a heads up I wouldn't rely on them seeing your message here to get you on their FE, which it looks like was organized on another website and they can't share that info on these boards.

To be honest, this is our first DCL cruise, and while the FE sounds fun it also sounds like a lot of work, there is going to be so much going on I don't think you guys will have any less fun. You can always buy a few goodies yourself for the kids and place them into your FE yourself, just a thought.

You can rent golf carts??? They can drive on the road? Where do you rent them? This sounds awesome!

I saw that there's a local seafood festival going on that weekend.

This will be our first time to Key West. But from what others have posted there are a number of places to rent golf carts as it's a small island.

I have found the golf carts online. Trying decide between gas or electric. Are you prebooking?

Others have said no need to prebook the golf carts so will probably just rent one when we get in.

Hi Vicki - this is for the January 13th sailing. If you find your cruise meet thread for your May sailing and post in there someone may have already have started a FE. Someone from each cruise has to volunteer to coordinate the FE before anyone can sign up for one.

Is there a FE? I never have not found one.

@Lorilyn oh my goodness, thank you for tagging me. Now I realize that while I started this thread I also LEFT this group!! Guess I never did a 'sorry guys we cancelled this sailing' post! Eep! We are actually sailing one day later (January 14th) on the Fantasy! We switched quite a few months ago...oops! Hope you all have a great cruise!
