Pick the "name your own price" tab. Area 3 is san pedro. Pick 3.5 star hotel. put in your bid of 65 in the bid box. put your initals in the approved box....and click continue.

Do they have cruise parking? We got a hotel that will let us park there for the week.

I know it is on the touristy side but has anyone had experience with this company: Cabo Submarines It got good reviews on one website I had been reading and it is listed in my Lonely Planet book.
I have canceled our beach excursion in Cabo and I hate wandering around aimlessly. I am afraid, with Jeff and I already divers, that this will be completely hokie. It is mainly for Alec, though. Also, they are telling us that we can't get in until the 12:30 time (50 minute trip). But with it going to all the scenic spots, it sounded like a good deal. If we book ahead we will get $5 off each of our tickets. The only thing we HAVE to do in Cabo is Cabo Wabo and I don't want to cut our time short there as I can't chug tequila. pirate: and I'm not to keen on going there first. :boat: That wouldn't be pretty.

BTW, so far I have seen Tonya, Dave & Steve all want to go, too. Do you all want to go together? Just an idea

So we have the Whale Photo Safari (with DCL) in PV and Randi's in Mazatlan.

Being that we have only been on one cruise (Disney) before I love all the information. We have 2 Passporter DCL books (not the current one though) and I read as much as possible. I agree on the shoe holder over the back on the bathroom door. It is so much easier to manage. We didn't see a single show last time so we will have to see a couple this time. I still like the idea of tying Jessica up with the bands and dragging her into Toy Story. :cool1::rotfl2:
I am so excited, I can't wait!!!!!:dance3:

Hey Sue you rock!!! I contacted Randi and she got us in for the horse ride. My daughter is going to lose touch!!! She wanted to ride so badly and this is the best birthday surprise ever. Thank you so much!!! DW was jumping up and down! She can't wait to see me fall off, get dragged, and yell for assistance in Spanish (auyuda por favor! Ahora!!!! Ay aye aye!!!). No problemo!!!!

BTW, count us in for Cabo Wabo. We've been to the one on the Strip in Vegas several times and it's so prototypical Vegas: $15 per drink, looks just like every other watering hole on the street, nothing special. So I'm hoping the "real" one is much better. I'm sure it will be. We're going on the early catamaran sightseeing tour, so i should be nice and seasick by the time we hit Sammy's tequila remedy store.

We're up for Cabo Wabo too. Our excursion ends at 11:45ish so anytime after that works for us.

Is anybody into scrapbooking like me :-) It's been a while. I still need to finish my cruise book from 2 years ago. Lol

We are going on the canopy adventure at 10:45 leaving at the canopy office. Is anybody else on this one? We decided we will just walk around in Cabo since we aren't there that long. We don't have anything booked in Mazatlan. Now I am thinking Randi's would be fun. Sorry to ask again..but what time did you guys book that? Is that something my 8 year old can do?

just FYI, I got Crowne Plaza for 65/night on priceline....the only 3.5 stars in San Pedro area are Doubletree and CP, both have shuttles to port.

Do you remember how much it was after taxes? I booked at Vagabond Hotel because it was cheap and we could park there for the week. I paid $120 with tax and parking. It doesn't look like the greatest hotel. It's only 1 night so it will be ok. I was just wondering if the other hotel and parking would be the same price?

plus approx 12.43/night for tax.

I saw the semi-submersible when I was there in August. From the exterior, it looked like it was in good condition, but it wasn't running when we were there (off season). It beats the condition of the "water taxis," so if you're interested in going out to Los Arcos, this is a creative way to do it. I wouldn't be too excited about the marine life, however, as I've snorkeled in Cabo before and wasn't impressed with the visibility or the diversity of marine life.

I highly recommend the shows; they were very good and much better than other cruise ship shows I've seen. It's also great that the characters are incorporated into them. If you enjoy the shows at WDW or DL, then I think you'll enjoy the shows. They also usually offer one or two of them as a matinée performance, which is a great way to see them and free up your evenings.

I'm totally for this. If all else fails, we can use duct tape to keep her in the theater chair :rotfl2: After all, everyone should travel with duct tape as it's an essential item in addition to those mentioned by others (e.g., ipod speakers, OTCs, etc.).

We got the Vagabond too. It was $120. I'm with you - We couldn't find a better deal with the parking and it's only for one night so I'm sure we can live with it. As long as there's some hot water and a taco shop nearby, I'm good with anything. The Crowne wanted like $10 per day for parking IF available. It appears there's a lot of people going on this cruise (!) and it would be really stressful if they said parking was full at the last minute. So, see ya at the Vagabond. :)

Does anyone know what time the terminal opens?:confused3 I want to get there as early as possible! :hourglass

Last time (June '08) it was open with people checking in at 9:45, but I don't want to assume it will be open as early this time.:scratchin

Steve are you doing the whale watching in Cabo? I'm going on the same trip:cool1:, Dave's going fishing and then we are going to the bars.

Im very big into scrapbooking, Im going on a three day scrapbooking weekend this Friday,i will be working on our last cruise.:rotfl:

I am a scrapbooker too! I just spent the evening finishing up my FE's and cleaned up my craft room so I can scrapbook again. I am always good about doing vacation scrapbooks when we get back but I am way behind on my children's books!:)

Three more weeks to go!

I have a question about the FE exchange etiquette:

Are the gifts supposed to be anonymous, or are we supposed to say who they're from?

Fond this thread on the main board regarding tips from other cruisers and I thought some might find it useful.

Also, check out post #6 of this thread for interesting trivia regarding DCL, which includes:

- On an average seven-night sailing aboard the Disney Magic, the following food items are consumed:
• Beef – 5,000 pounds
• Chicken – 10,000 pounds
• Salmon – 1,200 pounds
• Shrimp – 1,300 pounds
• Lobster Tail – 1,000 pounds
• Melon – 12,800 pounds
• Pineapple – 3,300 pounds
• Individual Eggs – 71,500
• Coffee – 57,820 cups
• Soda – 3,125 gallons
• Beer – 12,385 bottles/cans
• Wine and Champagne – 2,700 bottles

Also, there's a DCL special you can stream on Netflix if you're a subscriber that is fairly interesting.

Less than three weeks . . .

Did you want to get together for Cabo Wabo you mean or you wanted to see if anybody wanted to do he submarine?
Two separate ideas. I wanted to know if anyone knew about the submarines ( Thank You Kris). I also wanted to see if we wanted to get a whole group together to descend on Cabo Wabo. :scared1: For us it will depend upon IF we do the submarine or not, as they are booked up for their morning tours. I am torn as I really wanted to tour in the AM and do Cabo Wabo before we go back to the ship. :confused3
We don't have anything booked in Mazatlan. Now I am thinking Randi's would be fun. Sorry to ask again..but what time did you guys book that? Is that something my 8 year old can do?
Check out Randi's website but I know she has had kids 1/2 that age on rides before. I would send her an e-mail and see if she still has room to add on to our group. Just tell her you are with the group from the Disney Cruise.
Later & back to FE's!:wizard:

I buy the scrapbooks, h ave a printer, have scissors and glue.....so I am a wannbe scrapbooker as none of those things have combined into a viewable book of adventures!!!

price at 65/night plus 60 for parking made Crowne a pretty good deal. I haven't given up the Vagabond room yet as I don't know how my little group of me, tabi, noah are arriving in LA yet. Jess and her group are driving, so they can have the Vagabond if necessary....will also check with them to see if we can park two cars....or, if I am flying, which is doubtful as I have a huge duffel for my own version of Celebration/Disney for cabins and haven't even put in FE stuff yet...and I think it weighs more than 50 pounds.

decisions decisions.
