My family will be joining you. So Far there are 10 of us , may be 10 more coming. My family, kids ages 11, 13, my sister family, age7,7 and my parents.

This will be our fourth Disney cruise. We considered doing Royal Caribbean for this cruise, but my kids really wanted to do Disney again since they know the ship.

We'll be coming from NY. Are you from east or west coast?

Not confirmed yet, but we may be switching to this sailing from this summer's Baltic Cruise. The excursions are sooooo expensive, it will cost the 4 of us well over $20,000 to do the Baltic with cruise, air, transfers and then adding excursions! I can't in good conscience spend that much on a 2 week vacation.

Stay tuned, we have to make a change by March 15th!

I will be on the January 23rd Cruise. will be my 4th Disney Cruise.. Can't wait. This is my gift to myself for my 40th Birthday. Will be sightseeing prior to cruise as never been to California before.

We will be joining the few of you on this board! Booked yesterday. It will be DH, DS (10) and myself. We are from Nor Cal and were looking for something like this. We are DVC members and are getting so discouraged with airfare to get to FL. Now we can drive! This will be our 2nd DCL cruise. We went on the Eastern Caribbean Jan 2007 and that was so much fun.
So outside of the weather, did anyone find anything good out? I'm hoping DCL will get us info soon. I am trying to figure out the dinner schedules. Plus the shows.

My DB (53) and I(49) are going on this cruise and I want to do FE. This will be my 5th cruise but I have never done FE. Can Adults only play? I'm already making my gifts, can't wait.

woot wooot! So happy Cathy... No kids and ADULTS get to play.You will love doing FE, they are so much fun to play and reallllly do make the cruise so much more fun. Its really hilarious to see kids walk by the doors and say, "mommy I want to do that!" Plus the kids (and DH and I) love to find goodies in their FE's after a long day. Its kind of like the Christmas morning feeling. Great, we'll get our lists together. Please PM me with room # so I can start our list. My Mom and Dad are going too, so their is another. So far 3 participating.

In the mail today we got a "Welcome to your Mexican Riviera Vacation" booklet. I can't wait!
It has tips but still no details about what they will offer as excursions. And we have made a ressie to stay at the Villas @ Grand Ca the night before.
First time I am anxious for Christmas to be over with.

Hi! I'm Jessica and my husband is Ryan. I wanted to let you know we are joining in on the fish extenders! We have never done FE's before, but we're super excited about it! We ordered our fish extender this evening!

A little background...

We (at that time) will be 29 (me) and 31 (him) and we don't have kids. BUT - we love these kinds of fun things for ourselves! We're already planning on what we can leave for people!

We are booked on this sailing (Jan. 23, 2011; 7 night Mexican Riviera), but, we're also booked on the 2 night weekend getaway sailing (cruise to nowhere) directly before this one! I haven't looked yet for a thread on that cruise, but I'll do some research tonight and see if I can find one. Then we can do FE's on BOTH sailings!

For this sailing, here is our info!

Cabin #6311 (unless...cross our fingers...we get upgraded to an ocean view cabin like we did last time!)

We look forward to chatting with, and possibly meeting everybody.

P.S. My husband and I were both born and raised in San Diego and we're VERY familiar with the area. We also (literally) go to Disneyland about 3 times a month, so we're VERY familiar with everything Disneyland too! I read a couple of posts of people who have never been to Cali, so if anyone has any questions let us know - we're a wealth of information! There aren't many details yet. Everything is pretty much speculation at this point. It is filling up really fast though, seems like CAT 9-11 are almost gone.

Ryan is right, there's not really any info on the sailing, and I don't think there will be. It should just be a typical cruise to nowhere (and usually info isn't really given on those because there's not anything to know). Basically, you just sail around and come back, you don't stop anywhere. My only question is whether or not they'll have the fireworks and stuff, but I don't know yet. I'm going to try and find out tomorrow Hopefully they will!

Ryan is also right about it selling out quickly! At this point (unless you can find a company with a group held), the inside cabins are completely sold out. That's not to say some won't open back up at some point, but right now you can't book an inside cabin through Disney - it's insane!

Do you have kids?!? (we don't) I think with or without kids the fish extenders will be a blast! We've never done it before either, but we also saw people's doors that had them during our last Disney cruise. It would be a great way to get to know people, and, wouldn't it put a smile on your face to come back to the cabin after getting sun burnt and have a little note or gift waiting for you?!? I know we're doing it for sure - and we can't wait!

It would have been cool if they were going to Catalina. I haven't been since the 80's and I hear that cruise ships have been going there. I can't imagine it though. The island is so small to begin with. I was trying to talk my hubby into adding that on but we already have a night booked in a DVC studio at the Grand CA & I would hate to not stay there. Plus, we can't take our son our of too much school, either.
With the fish extenders, it would be nice to get a big group but so far we don't have much of a crowd of people posting on this thread.
I am so excited for this cruise. We were looking at not going on one as airfare is so outrageous and driving is not really an option to get to Florida. Hopefully more will sign on & sign up!

I've never been to Catalina, but I've heard mixed reviews about it. This sailing will definitely not be stopping there though. Sorry
