Also, one more post. ...
The addition of Angel Rae to the group 2 FE, they are now at 10, and full.
Group 1 has 1 member (Hobbers ) that has not gotten there post count up to 10 (they have only posted 1 time), so, I can not get any information for the spreadsheet.
This puts me at a tough spot. So I would like to ask for some feedback from Group 1 FE members.
We can either give the Hobbers family a chance to jump back on the board and let us know they want to still participate. If they don't let us know by the time the next new members ask to be part of the FE, we move the Hobbers family to group 3 and add the new family to group 1.
The other option is to leave the Hobbers family in group 1 and take the chance that we may end up as a group of 9 cabins.
Please way in on this if you are in group 1.
Thanks!

A cabin crawl is a fun way to get to see the different types and categories of cabins on the boat. The participants in the cabin crawl agree to allow the other participants tour their cabin during the cabin crawl. To add some fun, a game like poker can be added in. For the poker game, 5 Cabins volunteer to each bring a deck of cards, and then during the cabin crawl, each cabin crawler gets 1 card at each of the card cabins. In the last cabin, or in a final gathering place, we would compare the hands we each collected and either the high hand or low hand (we would decide ahead of time ) would win. On our last cruise, I brought a few fun items and let the winner pick a prize. Plus we had a few kiddos with the group, and I let them each choose something as well.
And as for the Harbor House, I hope there are still rooms. If not, you are still welcome to join us. I believe we already have 1 family on the list that has reservations at another hotel.

Put us down for the harbor house. They had a room available so I booked it. A 5 minute walk to the port is right up my alley. :)

Alright! I will add you in.
And I will get the FE information out to you in the morning when I pullup my computer.
Have a great night.

***Castaway Gold Members*** -
Tonight is your night!!
At midnight tonight, Castaway Gold members can begin their online check-in.

Attention moms with little ones.....
Angel Rae (our newest member) also has a little one ( 3 yrs old). She will also be staying at the Harbor House and attending the meet. The idea about starting a PM so that y'all could plan something for the little ones was brought up a few pages back. If you have started that, I just wanted to let you know there is a new member that you can invite.

I'm ok with filling group 1 with the next new family and putting the Hobbers in Group 3 if they are still wanting to participate.

I have a few questions for you guys/gals!
1.) Is it possible to ship a box to the port/ship prior to the cruise. If ao is this even a good idea? Trying to figure out a way to travel lighter and not lug around my FE box

2.) Transportation from Hobby to the port. Cheaper to rent a 1 way car, take an uber or a shuttle?

I have sailed out of Miami so know the drill there. First 1 out of Galveston so feeling a bit nervous.
Thanks,
Angel

Yes, you can ship a box to port, and it would decrease your luggage. Let me talk with hubby though. We will be driving to port and also staying at Harbor House. We may be able to bring it if you want to mail it to us. Let me check first though.
As for transportation, uber doesn't go to Galveston. And if you want to get a one way car rental, it would need to be with Enterprise. They are the only rental company on the island. Depending on when you are arriving, another option is Galveston Express. They run shuttles from both airports. I posted a link to them a few posts back. If you can not find it, let me know and I will look for it tomorrow. I am not able to access my computer until tomorrow evening.

Yay I have found my fellow cruisers!! My name is Ange, and I'm traveling with DS 4. We are from Australia (Wollongong which is 1 hr south of Sydney). Can you please add us to the roll call.
We have made reservations at another hotel prior to leaving but would love to attend the meeting and greet if it's not too hard to get to, from where we are staying.
I would have loved to have read all 45 pages of this thread, however it's 4am and I have been awake for the last 3 hrs and I have work today so must get back to sleep!!! Will catch up on the posts soon.
Can't wait till we are cruising!!
