Disney Wonder Eastbound Panama Canal - October 2015

We transferred a dummy booking to this cruise last week! It will be myself, dh and ds (10 turning 11 during the cruise!). We wanted to go this fall but the timing didn't turn out well for dh (who is active duty military) so next fall it is!

My way of looking at holidays is thinking about the future. when I'm older and look back on my life what will I have the fondest memories of. In this instance a 14 day cruise with my husband which we can be together without the distractions of everyday life and work and can have fun and try new things OR refurbing the bathroom. Its really a no brainer for me. the bathroom will still be there when we get home and we can do it then but 14 uninterrupted days with my best friend cannot be exchanged for anything in the world. you just gotta work out what's more important to you but life is too short to spend it all on things that can be done around the house IMHO. I hope you will stick with us and join us on this cruise as it will be a great experience :-)

Thanks for the pep talk! Like how I'm already treating this group like therapy?! Ha! I'm definitely going to keep the reservation, that way I will get attached to it and not want to cancel. Plus, I will be SO glad it's there on days when I'm screeching, "I need a vacation!!!"

you're welcome!! and :woohoo:

Not sure about the money either, but I have a plan. We live pretty frugal and this is going to be a once in a lifetime cruise for us. We have most of the money now for the cruise and I am thinking income tax return and spring bonus for my husband will apply to incidentals. We are perfectly ok not doing anything extra. We have been able to stick to our budget on past cruise and park trips. We have lots of time to put money away. I am hoping to start another part time job and put that money into the vacation kitty.

Hello everyone :) :flower3:
I just booked this cruise today and it is a surprise from me to my husband :)

I am so excited and this is one of his dream cruises.....:beach:

:-) well at least you have us lot to share the excitement with in the meantime!!

In case any of you are interested, I came across some videos on youtube by a couple who did the same cruise we will be doing next year. Helped my excitement grow and thought 1 or 2 of you may appreciate it too http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCW7qY5DliOqmcQPehw6NTTQ/videos

Thanks for the link, I'm watching now. This couple is absolutely darling, too.
Will share this with my friends who are looking to book in a cat 9, so they can see what their cabin will be like!

WELCOME to all the new kids!

.

Just got off the Fantasy yesterday and booked this cruise. We did the first PC crossing and loved it. Not sure if this will work depending on my daughters schedule ( she will be 20 at time of cruise ) but, at least we have the deposit held. Concerned slightly about going back to the Wonder (we previously only sailed on her in 2000) after being on the Fantasy the last two trips. Downgrading room to cut expenses as well but, it's just the two of us and same category as our original trip.

Hello! My husband and I just completed our first Disney cruise on the 2014 EBTA and booked the EBPC as our second cruise. We are so excited and will be celebrating our second wedding anniversary (10/19) a little late with this cruise. So excited to be involved in this!

Welcome aboard! This thread is a little quiet but we all seem a lot more active in the facebook group :)

You can add us in. We are jumping ship from the May crossing to this one. A tiny bit pricier but we booked onboard and the timing just works so much better for us.

It will be me (Liat), DH, my four kiddos who will be 8(boy), 6(girl), 4(boy) and 3(girl) at the time of the cruise and my mom and sister.

We have two rooms booked on deck two aft and are super excited.

Do those with kiddos want to do a special trick or treating style FE on Halloween for the kids? Like take an hour out of our day so the kiddos can do some trick or treating door to door at the staterooms?

I grilled the CM's on board the Wonder last week (the nine night Alaskan) what they knew about what was going to happen on board for halloween this year so I could guess at what would be offered next year and I couldn't get a consensus. Some said that it would be all decked out and some had no idea or said it would just be a tiny bit themed.

Welcome! I'm really thrilled there will be at least one other 4 year old boy onboard besides my son.

Welcome aboard! we're deck 2 aft too my fave room location :goodvibes. We don't have kids but wouldn't mind having little trick or treaters. Otherwise we could organise a treasure hunt type thing over the ship with a few little stations we could set up rather than room to room?

What kind of activities do they plan for all the sea days?

Hi all,

We booked this cruise on the 2014 EBTA last week.

We had a booking on next year's EBTA and wanted to rebook onboard, but the pricing is outrageous now, so we are looking at this cruise instead.

The timing isn't the greatest - my daughter will be 7 at the time (in second grade).

It will be myself (52), and my wife(47) along with our daughter.

We don't do facebook so am hoping that we can get information on this board. We'd be interested in doing FE's if that's been talked about.
