Disney Wonder Dry Dock Watch - 11/10 Wonder departs on first cruise out of Galveston

I wonder if tropical storm Ian will delay the Wonders arrival to Cadiz for dry dock? I've tried to find the ships location and the websites I have looked at all have the last update of the ships position on September 11 and show her off the coast of South Carolina. Maybe she's slowly heading up the US coast to let the storm pass before heading across the pond?

The free trackers only show positions from land-based receivers. You have to pay to see position via satellite. So you almost certainly will not be able to track the Wonder across the Atlantic. (The ship is probably still shown, but as an unnamed ship whose position was received via satellite. Good luck figuring out which ship in the Atlantic is the Wonder. :confused3)

Glad the free websites are not reliable for oceanic crossings. I was getting a little worried. Hopefully the Wonder is well on her way to Cadiz and right on schedule.:)

We are booked concierge on the Dec 9 sailing and when I was emailing concierge services back and forth at the 125 date discussing dinner reservations I was told this:

As far as the Dining Rotations, there will be 3 that you may be assigned. They are:
T= Triton's
A= Animators Palate
TP= Tiana's Place
Rotation # 1 T, A, TP, T, A, TP, T
Rotation #2 A, TP, T, A, TP, T, A
Rotation #3 TP, T, A, TP T, A, TP

When I called in the other day to request rotation they told me Tianas place would be TI.

This tracker (http://www.livecruiseshiptracker.com/Live_Cruise_Ship_Tracker.html) allows you to filter out all ships except for passenger vessels. Doing that shows only one (unnamed satellite tracked) ship in the right vicinity heading towards Spain. I think that's the Wonder, but can't be 100% sure.

That's a great idea!! And it works on www.marinetraffic.com as well. You just use the funnel icon to only show passenger vessels. It seems like the Wonder is getting close to the Azores! I think maybe one of the next days we will be able to catch her on the Azores land based trackers.

Has anyone found any twitter or instagram feeds from contractors that are going to be working on the Wonder yet? I know that I followed a few for the Magics drydock. If and when anyone finds them please share.

Disney Wonder just showed up on www.marinetraffic.com ! It's just north of the westernmost Azore island 'Vila do Corvo'. It's going 22 knots.

Good call! Exciting! Thanks.

Hard to believe she won't get to Cadiz before the 19th.

Well spotted!! She is now north of Horta, so moved quite a bit!

She is due to arrive in Cadiz at 9am local time on the 19th, so that is 3am EST. If she is just a few hours early, she will be there on the 18th in Florida time.

According to MarineTraffic.com the Wonder is just North East of the Azores Islands, due West of Spain, she appears to be on schedule and on time to arrive in Cadiz on Monday 9/19. I don't think she was delayed at all from any storms. Keep your fingers crossed she'll go in drydock for 34 days of out of the water refit and get all the work done that is scheduled. They're allowing MUCH more time for her refit over what the Magic had on her re-imagining so I am hopeful they'll get everything done on schedule.

I agree, looks she will be on time or early arriving in Cadiz. I have my fingers crossed that all will go well with the dry dock. :)

This is the first time DCL technically operates two ships at the same time in Europe. Positions were accurate around 11:30h Central European DST.
You think the Magic will sail along her before crossing over?Schermafbeelding 2016-09-18 om 11.49.01.png

I think the Wonder will reach Cadiz before the Magic passes by her. Cadiz is west of Gibraltar. So, unless the Magic makes a detour to pass Cadiz specifically, I don't think so.

Good to see that Wonder is coming up on the European radar now!

I'm happy that I got to sail on her at least once before this reimagining. I have to say I've liked the Wonder quite a bit more than the other ships. Her size is perfect and I never felt crowded. I'm quite anxious to see the new improvements they are going to do to her! Hoping we will get some insider info, and get to see the construction!
