Help!!

I really need a Disney Fix. I was supposed to go in January on my first solo trip but I have been taking care of my ill father and had to cancel. Not sure when I can escape for a few days.

I was just there in November, but I'm an addict I need more!! ANd I bought an annual pass this year I couldn't pass up the discount offfered to DVC members.

How does everyone make it through to their next trip? Not a day goes by that I don't think of when I can go and I check air fare everyday!

I've got sad news for you...nothing helps, except another trip.

I try listening to MouseWorld Radio on Live365, but that only makes it worse.
I try watching the DVC and the Trip planning DVD's, but that only makes it worse.
Being on the boards, and seeing who is leaving and those who are doing the "Single Digit Dance" REALLY make it worse.

good luck!

I think I found a solution for my Disney Withdrawl. Hubby is Disney'd out so it will be a LLLOOOONNNNGGGG time before I get to go again. However, for me, it's the extensive planning that floats my boat. I love stretching my dollar and figuring out how to take advantage of all the tips and tricks I read about on these boards.

The other night I was at my fitness class and the lady I am partnering with said she and her husband were considering a trip to WDW now that their daughter was 7. Then she said it had been so long since she was there she really didn't know how to go aobut planning a trip like that now. I just burst out laughing and said Lady, you are doing crunches right beside The Queen of Disney Trip Planning!! I said I would help her when she was ready to start thinking seriously about it. She was so happy that I would be willing to help her. And I was so happy that I get to plan again, even if I'm not the one going!!

Yeah, I get my Disney fill her eon the Dis Boards and in thinking about my next trip. I also like to keep posted by going to different sites and reading up. I also look thru photo albums and listen to LIVE 365 all the time!

But still, don't know if that helps or makes it worse.

I'm sorry about your father. I hope you can find time to excape to WDW and get your fill!

This post is very timely for me. I was just there in early December for my 6th annual SOLO trip, and just today I was having a serious longing for WDW.

So I took out my *Audio* cassette tapes that I made in previous visits.
I am at work, but I took a break, put on my headphones, Closed My Eyes and I listened to the entire audio of Spaceship Earth.

It felt sooooo good ! ( However, I am still longing )

Thanks all for the tips......I have come to realize that nothing really helps except planning a trip for yourself.

I have helped people plan their trip...just gets me jealous and more anxious to go.

Last night I found myself giving excuses why I should go every month to Disney.

And this is what I came up:

1. I am a DVC'er

2. I have enough points for 3 more trips in a studio until I get more points in August. I also just banked my points just in case I couldn't escape.

3. I am an annual passholder.

4. I have a ton of frequent flyer miles I could use.

5. I don't have to rent a car if I don't want to.

6. I have friends who live in the area who would graciously let me stay at their house on any Saturday so I won't use a lot of my DVC points.

7. Meals.....I don't eat much and I could stand to lose a few pounds, besides since I am annual passholder I bought the DDE card which gives me 20% of certain restaurants.

8. I am my own boss so technically I could take off anytime I want, but technically, no one pays me when I take off.

To sum it up.....it will probably be the most economical vacation anyone could take. I was trying to explain this to a friend and she thought I was nuts.....BTW she has never been to Disney.

THe only thing holding me back right now is caring for an ill parent. Although if I don't get away soon I think I am going to crack!!
