I'm not sure if your daughter is on a pump or shots so I will give you a few pointers from both points of view.
Here are some things we did:
-if staying onsite, request to be close to food court
- check often
- make a list of all supplies you will need including batteries and back up monitor, then check it off when you pack - it's difficult to get supplies there
- take double the supplies you need
- have snack food in the hotel room
-have doc phone#s and pump programs printed in case of a failure, including insulin/carb ratios and basal
- download a carb app or buy a Calorie King/something similar book
-mouse keeping will bring you a sharps container
- always have food/sugar with you, esp. when you're in line
- although first aid will store your insulin, we prefer to bring our own Frio pack or small insulated bag that stores small baby bottles with an ice pack. We have forgotten insulin at first aid and had to go back the next day.... we do use first aid to change pump sites. they'll give you a clean private room.
-if planning on doing water parks, consider a water proof bag (we use AquaPac) to keep monitor, strips, and sugar. I think we have the radio bag and it has a lanyard type attachment that we can wear around our waists
Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
Best wishes, and hugs to your sweet daughter.
