So I'm hoping to be back at WDW solo from 29th September...I've booked ten days so I can just relax and take in the pleasure of just been there...no rushing from ride to ride or fixed schedule.
I'm going solo in a few days and I'm going all out because of a 15 year absence. But I think this is indeed what I will be doing on my next trip. Not going to go souvenir or ADR crazy, etc. No setting the clock for EMH or hanging out late at night for nighttime EMH. I will indeed schedule my park days, but I'm just going to kick it into utter relaxation mode. Enjoy La Nouba, watch an outdoor resort movie. Enjoy more time at resort, etc. I am really just a tad to worked up for this trip, but again...that's because of the absence. Once I get this trip out of excited psyche I think I will be ready.
Just did this last week. 9 days! Took the early part of the day to relax and went to the parks at night usually, or stayed at the park all day but with NO RUSH! It was awesome!
I travel solo-usually 7 days but I enjoy it all. I have traveled commando style in the past- but my last trip I was forced to take a slower pace...bad rains throughout the week. My next trip I plan to slow down again! Best part of going solo is you can do Disney how you want to!
While I so do not wish for an all day rain down-pouring to take place at all.. if it does... I will simply accept it as a cosmic cue to chill. I will make sure I enjoy the time rather than bemoan as being forced away from park activity.
I'm so jealous!!!
My dream vacation is spending between 10 days and two weeks at WDW. No ADR, no FP, just relaxing. I've been saving up for a year now!
Unfortunately, I have no one to go with so I'm considering going solo.
The thing is- it pretty much doubles the expenses! If you're going with a friend or relative who'll split the cost with you, it's so much lighter on the pocket...
I went two years ago with a cousin of mine. We stayed at a moderate and got a great deal with a dining plan thrown in. The total for a full week was a little over $2000.
Split between the two of us it became affordable. (We're talking international flights which add nearly $2000 each!)
So now I'm not sure I have enough saved up to go solo, even if I stay at a value resort... Certainly not for such a long trip
