I was just diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension.

But I'm not going to let it get me down. We head to Florida on November 12th and I intend on having the time of my life.

I just have some questions about using oxygen in parks.
Between my Dr's assistant and the Oxygen supply company, they're getting things all set up for me to carry oxygen on the plane and getting a machine set up at the house we're renting. Judy even contacted Alaska Airlines to get all the details worked out with them.
I reserved a
scooter months ago for this vacation. Guess I'm going to be renting an Evergo System for the plane. Is this what I would use at the parks too? I'm a bit nervous that someone might take off with the thing if I don't take it on the attraction with me. (I only need it when I exert myself...Dr. didn't restrict me at all.) What does everyone else do with their oxygen while on the rides?
wow, the big PH huh? Well I was diagnosed with that in 06 and last week I had another RandLHC and was Cleared!!!

No PH was to be found

. I know how you feel and it is not easy dealing with.

To answer your question, I too have a POC and I do NOT use it in the park. I am too afraid of someone taking it too!
It is not something that I would recommend taking on the rides. I use my M6's in stead and take about 2 to 3 of them in a rolling back pack and leave them at the first aid station. I have the little carry bag(shoulder) and that tank usually last about 2 to 3 hours on 3lp on the pulse dose setting
Since I use the m6's, I am able to take my tank on all the rides except for RNRC and that now requires that you do sort of like a child swap w/o a child as they are no longer able to touch the o2 and take it from you and have it waiting for you at the end you disembark from

. That is what they told me and had me do in May when we went.
I am not sure who your supplier is, but I have Apria, and they supply my o2 needs at the resort for the entire time I am there

. I also have them include the tubing kit. I get 1 stationary concentrator, 4 e tanks and 15 to 20 m6 tanks depending on the weather

I know that the hotter it was the faster my o2 ran out

, Depending on the humidity as well, you may need less or more due to your condition.
Since it is cooling down, I am able to use less o2. I also find that my o2 is lasting longer due to the fact that it is cooler

.
I am not sure if you are on gas or liquid o2, but I recommend the portable gas for your wdw stay (never mind, I just remembered that you stated that you were going to use an Evergo

.
As far as the rides, I just place the bag in the holder if one is available and hang onto the strap too as an added precaution to prevent it from being dislodged

. I also hang onto it between my legs if I can safely secure it. I believe that you would find it very difficult to use the POC during the ride than just relying on the o2 tank. I can't imagine using one on any ride and having it damaged

. I leave my POC in the room all the time and it feels nice knowing that I don't have to worry about anyone taking it while we are at the parks.
If you have anymore questions, feel free to PM me. I will be happy to assist you further

. I see that you are also going down in November, so are we, except we arrive on the 27th

. I hope that you have a blessed and safe time
