Hello everyone! I have been a long time lurker/occasional poster on DIS and have been back and forth on whether or not I wanted to do a pre trip and/or trip report. Since we leave in just over 5 weeks, I feel like I have read everything possible and have really enjoyed reading PT and Trip reports, I decided I'll make one myself!

Dates- Arrive Sunday December 14th, Depart Sunday December 21st

Cast of Characters

Going on this trip will be myself and my SO. We have been dating for a little over 4 years. She is graduating from MTSU in December (I graduated last December), so this trip is to celebrate that and we have also never taken a vacation just the 2 of us, so we are really excited about that! I have been to Disney a total for 4 times in in 1998/1999 and 2004/2005. I have been to Univeral all those times as well as in 2008 for a total of 5 times. She has been to Disney once when she was a kid and has been to Universal once in 2008. Universal has always been my favorite of the parks (I am more of a thrill seeker), But I am also excited to be back in Disney for the first time in 10 years and first time as an adult!

Since we live about 9 hours away, near Nashville, we are going to be driving down. We decided to just stay at a good hotel for budget reasons. Plus we will be spending almost all of our time in the parks anyway, and it is too chilly this time of year for swimming, so need for us to stay at a nice resort or condo.

We have a 2 day Universal Studios ticket, and a 4 day Disney ticket (no park hopper). We plan on going to each park for a full day, however we may double up on Magic Kingdom in lieu of Animal Kingdom.

So jump on board for my Pre Trip Report, I will keep updating! Also if anyone has any advance for a mid 20's couple going just themself or would like to share your own experience, please do so!

Thanks!!

Wow can't believe we leave 2 weeks from Saturday! We are leaving a day early because Universal allowed us to get the current promo, buy 2 days get the third free. We had already bought to 2 days so we got an extra day free! I have been planning this trip for 6 months so it feels good to finally be getting so close. So this is our loose itinerary:

Sunday December 14th
Since we will be getting in around midnight or so Saturday, we want to do the park with the least amount of attractions so we can sleep in a little bit Sunday morning  So our plan is to do Hollywood Studios. Here's our itenerary:

Of course we plan to do other attractions throughout the day, these are just the things that have set times. (Hopefully will make all attractions) I am a little worried about getting motion sick on star tours. I get motion sickness quite a bit (back seat of car, spinning rides, 3d movies). But since this is a vacation I won't get to take for probably another 5 years, I am going to wing it and go for it! I'm getting the motion sickness patches that go behind year ear (Anyone have any experience with these vs dramamine? I"m worried about the drowsiness effect of dramamine)

That's Day 1! Stay tuned for the rest of the week and thanks for reading! :)

Monday and Tuesday we plan to spend in Universal Studios. Since there is no fast pass, our plans are pretty much just winging it those 2 days.

I am really looking forward to Univeral. I was last there 6 years ago and they have added a ton of attractions since then.

Coming up next, Magic Kingdom!!
