Only 2 weeks left to go and I have a few questions. We will be touring the parks with my 4 month old daughter and 6 month old neice, what rides, if any, will they be able to go on with us?
Thanks,

Any ride that does not have a height restriction would be ok for the infants.
Here is a list of the ones they can't ride (most are obvious :) )

AK: Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, Primeval Whirl
( It's Tough to be a Bug might be a little to intense but that is your choice).

MGM: Rockin' Roller Coaster, Star Tours, Tower of Terror (Fantasmic and The Great Movie Ride might be to intense, but again they will not stop you...your choice)

Epcot: Body Wars, Mission Space, Test Track
(Honey I Shrunk the Audience maybe to intense)

MK: Big Thunder Mountain (closed for rehab), Goofy's Barnstormer, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Tomorrowland Speedway.
(Haunted Mansion may be a little scary)

On any of these rides you can do the child swap (have someone wait with the kids at the exit and the rest of the group goes through and rides, when they come out the one that waited can go back in (with up to 2 others in the party) without waiting in the line again...just ask the greeter at the attractions they would be more than happy to assist you).

Other than those you are able to take the infants on any rides in the park :)

O' and be prepared to fold, unfold, fold, unfold the strollers. Most attractions make you leave them outside but there are some, like the Train at MK that you would need to fold them up to ride :)

Have fun on your trip :)

I thought It's Tough to be a Bug and Honey I shrunk the Audience were 3-D shows. Don't you have to wear the glasses to actually see the 3-D? Never been to WDW,just wondering?:)

Yes, they are 3D shows. However, if you're asking this question from the standpoint of "how could a baby be frightened by a movie that he/she can't even see", then I won't ruin it for you. Let's just say there's a lot more to those attractions than looking at a 3D movie, and LibertyBelle's cautions are probably well-founded.

One trip one DD was 8 months, and another trip my DS was 10 months. They rode tons of things with me! Anything a 4 or 5 year old can go on, an infant can, too. Of course skip the obvious....the Mountains, etc...and some of the shows are loud or dark, but most things are fine.

Off the top of my head, my babes rode:
Everything in Fantasyland (Small World, Winnie the Pooh, PEter Pan, etc...) , the Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, The Transit Authority & Buzz Lightyear, and more...

In Epcot, they rode Maelstrom and the Mexican Boat ride.

In MGM, they went to all the shows we went to and rode the Great Movie Ride.

Animal Kingdom, same thing...all the shows, plus the safari ride and jungle walks.

They skipped a few things because they were asleep (DH took the other kids on and I hung with the babe in the Baby Bjorn or the stroller....) Don't worry -- there's plenty for wee ones in WDW. It will be very much a family vacation!!!

HTH. Enjoy!

Just remember that FEAR is a learned trait. I have been taking my son to WDW since he was 6 months old and I can honestly say that he is now more scared of attrctions and events (not just in Disney) than he was an an infant. Like I always tell everyone each child is different, but as a whole the emotion of fear and being scared in a learned trait and not something we are born with. While the loud noises and sudden bursts of air do have a better chance of startling a child than what they seein Haunted Mansion for example you need to know your child and use your parenting instincts. You know how your child interacts with moises, people and strange situations better than anyone else, so use you common-sense and parenting skills.

I am sure that your trip will be great. My son's first trip is oneof my all-time highlights at WDW as I was amazed how he wanted to toucht he characters and how he seemed to be lostint he lights and sounds around him. He is now 4 years old and about to take his 11th trip to WDW and he is more aprehensive on going on certain attractions than ever before, but he is also excited about being tall enough to ride Splash Mt and BTMRR.

He is a little scared about ToT, but he said he wants to give it a shot.

I do know that the sound level in Bug scared the daylights out of him, but he was fine in Fantasmic and Illuminations. It is a live and learn experiment.

WAHOO - almost time to go!!!

:hyper: :teeth: :hyper:

You might want to bring ear plugs for Fantasmic. It's a great show, but can be very loud. As for the intense 3-D shows, we just skipped those. We all really liked 3-D Muppetvision at MGM though. I would say that bringing a Baby Bjorn really helped. We only had to fold our stroller for the bus and the MK train. When our kids were infants, they slept really well in the stroller, so make sure you have a comfy one.
