My husband and are thinking about taking our son to WDW for his first birthday and I was just wondering what it is like traveling with a young child what advice or recommendations any of you may have. TYIA!

Do you have a carrier, like an Ergo, for him? I find I so handy with that age in the parks. If you don't have one, I would get one plenty of time before the trip to get him used to it.

If you can afford a monorail resort, their transportation is so convenient to MK and EPCOT, my kids' favorites.

I'd purchase the Memory Maker photo service. Our youngest had amazing reactions to the characters and the photographers captured some wonderful candid moments that I didn't see from my vantage point when we were in the moment. And actually, that's a great reason to get the photo package...since you have someone else to actually take the photos, you can really stay in the moment with your child and watch his reactions without worrying about looking through the camera.

I do have a carrier! And that sounds like a great idea because I can be involved amd not be thr person behind the camera our entire trip! Thank you :)

We like to rent a car even though we stay onsite. That way, if baby needs a nap break, you can leave when you want to leave, and not have to wait for a bus.

We didn't use a carrier but brought our stroller when DS was 1. It worked well and we would let him get out and walk sometimes too! We didn't have issues with transportation as he normally fell asleep in the stroller as there was so much going on he got tired :)
