Disney With A Broken Wrist

We leave for Disney in two days and my DD10 broke her wrist today. While I've broken my arm a couple times I didn't have to deal with going on vacation with it. Any tips from those who have had to deal with a broken bone at Disney? I know from experience it needs to be elevated and she'll be in pain at times but just checking to see if someone has any tips that I wouldn't think of. Thanks.

Sorry for your daughter, hope she's feeling better. When my daughter was five she had a fractured wrist with a cast on and we went to WDW. She really wasn't limited on anything. But we did buy an airtight cover that she could put on over it so she could swim in the pool. That was a real lifesaver. I can't remember the name brand but it was blue and you pumped out all the air so it really was a nice airtight fit over the cast.

Also, all the characters made a huge deal of her cast and signed it (bring a sharpie).

Thanks for the advice. We payed $30 out of pocket to get the water proof cast, insurance wouldn't cover it. Bought my Sharpie this morning and plenty of ibuprofen because she's currently in a lot of pain. Thanks!

I went a couple of weeks after I broke mu humerus. The break was right below the shoulder ball so no cast, just a sling.

I was worried about being jostled and asked the doctor for low dosage pain killers. That wasn't really a problem.

The one attraction that I should have avoided was Dinosaur. It was rough to hold onto the bar with just one hand.

I do not remember having an issue with the ride constraints.

No advice, just sorry to hear she got hurt and hope she has a speedy Uneventful recovery.

We are back and she had a great time despite her injury. The only ride that she said caused pain was Mission Space because it got to rough. I had to give her some Ibuprofen a few times but she did very well.
