Disney with a broken arm?

DAS is not intended for broken bones. Please do not suggest people call for reasons that are not meant for DAS. From the Disney website:

While the DAS line-skip itself is not intended for broken bones, the advice that OP contact accessibility services generally is still decent advice, as they will be able to talk OP through the various options and suggestions for how to access Disneys’ attractions and parks with a broken arm.

From the website: email Disability.services@disneyparks.com, or call at (407) 560-2547.

I think this is a question for the doctor, who knows your case the best, to give you directions. I don't want to discredit anyone here but they have no idea about your sons specific situation.

My youngest broke his elbow a few years ago right before our Universal trip and was in a full arm cast. He went on everything there except for the Mummy Ride, Rip Ride Rocket and the Hulk. Disney rides are mostly more tame so I would have taken him on most things in WDW. It was pretty much a non issue to be honest. He was in a full arm cast though so it was more about keeping him comfortable rather than hurting his elbow. We also had a water sleeve for showers, pool and if it rained. If its a full cast, I recommend a good sling as it gets HEAVY lugging around the cast after awhile.
