We are taking our ds to Disney for the first time in Sept. It has been a while since we had a toddler on the trip. Can anyone recommend any attractions and/or shows we shouldn't miss??

Our DD was 18mos. when we went in Nov. She really enjoyed Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live and also her attention was held pretty well at Beauty and The Beast. I think because we were in the front row...they were right there...she really enjoyed that. She also did well with Finding Nemo...lots to look at. AND last but not least...she loved the parades. Nothing was too scary for her...I don't think she actually was old enough to "think" anything was scary. We really enjoyed our trip with her at that age. Wait...I should take that back...I could not wait for her to meet the princesses...after waiting in line...you know what happened...lol...she was afraid of them!!! After all the rides...Stitch, Haunted Mansion, etc...the only thing that frightened her...were the princesses!!! Go Figure!!! LOL Have a wonderful time!!!

Thanks for the feedback. It really helps! I remember our dd6 being scared of all the characters at that age. We took her to a charater meal with the Cinderella characters and when the full size mice came out she started SCREAMING!!! You know, at that age, it is all real and I guess the thought of an human size mouse is pretty scary!

Last year, we finally went into Pooh's Playful Spot...right across from Pooh's Honeypots in Magic Kingdom. If she toddles, it was just a nice place for them to walk/run around. Little house, "logs" to crawl through. And shady places to sit for us parents. I thought it was a nice take it easy thing to do when they needed a break.

Mickey's Toon Town Fair. There is a little water play area there. And my little one loved taking the train ride around the park. We usually board in Toon Town and get off at the stop in Frontierland.

Along with Pooh's playful spot there's also a little (shaded) play area near Splash Mountain.

And the boneyard in AK was a hit with my 10 month old (who was already a pro walker).

He fell asleep on the AK safari (twice). His favorite, by far, was A Small World.

Have fun!
