Disney Wishes Wedding prices

I was just playing around on the disney wedding website. I noticed that in the little advertising spot on the top of the screen it says the "Disney Wishes Weddings... starting from $7500*". I started looking around to see if they dropped the minimum, and didn't see anything. Does anybody know what this is for? I find it really hard to believe that Disney would actually LOWER their prices.

I spoke with Heidi last month from DFTW and she told me that Disney was lowering their minimum for off peak season such as February.... But yea its true DISNEY LOWERED THEIR PRICES.... I need to pinch myself to believe it...lol

What is a Disney wedding going to cost?

No two Disney Weddings are alike. Prices for Disney's Escape Weddings start at $2950 (not including the required four night minimum stay at an owned and operated Walt Disney World Resort). The following minimum wedding expenditures (excluding tax and service charges) must be met to host a Wishes Wedding event at the WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort. These guidelines, based on season, day of week, and time of day*, have been designed to offer a variety of options to fit your budget, party size and personal wedding wishes.

Gee, judging by those prices, it doesn't look like they lowered their minimums at all. I'd love to know if they're really offering Wishes weddings for a $7,500 minimum - anybody wanna ask their WC next time they talk?

I cant seem to find this on the website either, we are looking at october which is premium season but if it means moving the date to september for low season and its saving us money that would be great.

I'd be interested to know about this as well...I saw on disneyweddings.com where it said starting at $7500, but when you click on each wedding location, the lowest is still $10K. If it is $7500, then I'd consider changing my intimate to a custom (or wishes I guess) because that would include a reception. As it stands, we're spending almost that much anyway, with upgrades and stuff, so why not spend $1000 more and get a little more freedom....the only thing I would be concerned about would be getting my room nights, as most of my family will be staying offsite at a rented house for the weekend...but I'm sure you ladies could help out if discounted rooms were available, right??

And here I was, ready to send out my save the dates this coming week. I'll have to hold off I guess. I'm about to contact my planner, but I haven't been getting much response from her lately, but I'll let you know if she gets back to me.

I spoke with a Wishes Sales Coordinator today about the $7500 listing on disneyweddings.com, and she said this was a mistake. The lowest price for minimums remains $10K. She even asked me where I had seen the price at so she could have someone check it out....just a heads up...
