When you arrive at the Tomorrowland Terrace (and I would suggest getting there about 30-40 mins early as they will likely let you in early) there will be a cast member standing checking reservations (this is at the end of the ramp-closest to Casey's). They will get another cast member to usher you to your seat. There will be a name tag on the table (ex. Smith Family) you're then free to move around and get any and all of the desserts you care for. You can eat all you want until after the fireworks end, then everything is cleaned up. You're free to leave your seat and stand to watch the fireworks. It's a fantastic experience. I've been to Disney about 10 times in my 21 years, and I can say this is the MOST magical firework experience I've ever had. Hope this helps :)

That is a wonderful surprise! There are too many treats to try them all, so the kids (and adults alike) will love the opportunity to be overwhelmed by all the sweet possibilities! I forgot to mention this before, but there are also unlimited drinks to wash down the treats! (milk, coffee, and lemonade as I remember)

Ooh I might try get a reservation. Might not be in luck as we go on the 17th but I will try! :)

I am going to add this to my "things to do this time" list.

I love dessert and I love wishes!

Hope you have a lovely time!

They will get another cast member to usher you to your seat.

they will also give a wristband to every party member.
You need it to be able to reenter the private area should you need to leave at some point (bathrooms are outside of the private area)

watch closely as Tinker Bell flies down from the castle, she'll be landing just above your "balcony"

Being proactive let me answer the next (unasked) question : "no you can't see MSEP from the Wishes Party area, trees are in the way"

next question is : what does the viewing area look like / what is the view ?"
the party area is to the right of the castle, and off center

here's a pic from february

Oh it looks so good I tried to get a reservation but they are full on the dates I want! :(

Does anyone know if they keep some tickets for sale on the day?

Thanks

No, they don't.

This event has very limited capacity (50 tables or so) and it's prepaid.

there might be cancellations, but the chances to get a table on the day is almost 0 and you can't walk in

Still you may try to call dining reservations (407) WDW-DINE for there might be tables left not showing on the website.

You just need to keep trying, but this event sells out pretty fast

How far in advance do you need to book it?

Ship might have sailed on this one then. As I go in 9 days. I'd never heard of it so was intrigued.

I will try and see if they have any cancellations but I doubt it.

as soon as the party becomes available

parties dates are released 2 months out.

for example, at the beginning of september, parties for the whole month of november became available. (sometimes it takes a few days for the dates to be released, like on the 4th or 5th of the month)
october will release parties for december, and so on ...

before the dates are released, the dining reservation site will tell you that no table could be found for your date.

dates often sell out fast, especially during special events. For example, september through december only have very few Dessert Parties due to the MNSSHP and MVMCP blocking most of the days (no dessert party on those events) so guests book "en masse" for the remaining days, and those days sell out even faster

Thanks so can you book online then too?

We've done this twice now. The first time was brilliant. Not crowded at all, and a lovely atmosphere with a brilliant view. This last time was awful: they are now pushing too many people in so the view, if you don't get by the railings, is poor and the pushing was dreadful. The dessert area was also less open so full of congestion. Having said that range of desserts much better now, including an ice cream sundae bar so chn were pleased. Desserts never ran out this time, whilst they did the time before. We arrived 10 mins early as seating is assigned: we went straight in. The first time we went 1hr early and waited nearly 40 mins.
