Hey all!

Just booked a fairly last minute cruise on the Disney Wish. Had a few questions that I was hoping you wise souls could help answer:

25th anniversary merch: Is it as bad as I hear? That almost no merchandise is available?

Bluetooth speaker: I saw this making the rounds online last month and so it was on my list of things to try and shop for onboard. I saw it on the on-board gifts section but when I tried to purchase, I got an error message. The finer print says only limited quantities available. Anyone had any success adding it after you got an error message? Were there any available onboard in the gift shops?

Pirate Night: Is it still on night 2 on a 3 night cruise?

Brunch: I feel like I remember Enchante offering brunch when the Wish was new to sailing. Is that still a thing? Or did they cancel it? and it's only Palo Brunch

Adult Dining Res: When I'm looking at activities to book in the app, I see options for dinner every night, but when I try to book it gives me an error saying it is completely booked. Is this Disney not wanting to let my 2-person party reserve a 4 person table? Or is this a new thing where Disney shows all the meals offered

Atlantis, Paradise Island: The day we're in Nassau, we're considering taking a trip to Atlantis. Has anyone made that taxi drive? About how long did it take you get there? Was it easy to find a cab there and back?

Star Wars: Last time we were on the wish (last October), there was a lovely little Star Wars event where we went down into Cargo bay and a star wars cast member interacted with guests while talking about the different monsters. Have any other star wars events been added or updated?

Magic Bands: I don't have a magic band +, but hear that they are working on the Wish. Did anyone have issues with using their park band? Is there a way to order any of the cruise themed ones before departing?

Lastly, any pro tips for the Wish? I'm no DCL novice, but I'm always interested in hearing other people's advice to see if there's anything new to try or experience

To answer one of your questions. I went to Atlantis on my own by walking a short distance to a water taxi, then walking from the water taxi to Atlantis. Everyone on the water taxi got off and walked to Atlantis so, even though solo, I felt safe in a group.
Going back to the ship I walked alone.
This was 10 years ago and I must be wiser now, but if I did it again I would definitely get a taxi back to the ship.

A few answers:
If the Bluetooth speaker can’t be ordered ahead, you can try going to Guest Services immediately when you board. That’s how we got ours.
It appears that Enchanté brunch is only on the 4-night, while they do Enchanté dessert on the 3-night.
Your suspicion about booking adult dining is likely true. You can go to Luna on day 1 - they generally have a number of reservations available then.
My best pro tip is to be sure and eat on the pool deck. The food there is way better than on the other ships. The barbecue is excellent, the Mexican is very good, and the pizza is surprisingly not bad.

Bluetooth Speaker: yes, limited quantities and if you booked last minute they were likely already snatched up. But I second PP's suggestion of trying guest services.

Pirate Night: It was night 2 on my 3-night Wish cruise; however, check in the app for whichever day BBB is doing pirate makeovers. That will be Pirate night.

Adult Dining: This is a known 'glitch' in DCL's adult dining reservation system. If your party size doesn't exactly 'match' the table that's available (like your example, a 2-person party for a 4-person table), you get that error message. There is availability, but the system won't let you book because you don't 'match.' As PP said, go to dining changes onboard and they should be able to help you.

Magic Band: If you have a MagicBand+ from the parks (not an original MagicBand or MagicBand 2.0), that will work on the ship. Make sure it's listed in your MDE account and they wills scan it when you board to make sure it's connected and working. You can also order one ahead of time if you're between 10 and 45 days out from sailing. On the DCL website, go to "DisneyBand+ & More" under 'Already Booked' and that will give you more info.

My tip: since you asked about Enchante brunch, do the Enchante dessert experience if it's open. It was delicious and a great way to see Enchante. Just don't eat a big brunch/lunch! If you like wine, I recommend getting the wine pairing as well.

Just watched a vlog (just a couple of weeks old) and they said you have to go to Guest Services and request it. If they have one available, they'll charge your account and deliver it to your room but there are very limited supplies apparently. Looks very cool. They put it into the bathtub and demonstrated it. I have no pool and we have good Bluetooth speakers so I have no reason to get one but it was very cute.

@Ensusieasm - Oh, good to know! I like a water taxi...definitely think we'll be trying this.

@gatordoc - Fingers crossed for guest services and that speaker, then. Usually I'm quick to board but since we booked last minute, I don't have the earliest PAT. Hopefully this won't make too much of a difference. Bummer about Brunch, though. Maybe I'll see if I can squeeze in a Palo brunch. I've never tried it because the menu didn't seem very interesting to me, but maybe now's the time!

@RedHead0186 - Thanks for the BBB Pirate makeover tip. Once I read it I was thinking "DUH that seems so obvious!!" but thank you! Now I've confirmed pirate night is day 2. Thanks for the Magic Band tip, too...went ahead and got that ordered. Hopefully it'll feel as seamless as the parks do. My boyfriend isn't a huge fan of sweets, but maybe I can get him to do the Dessert experience with me...fingers crossed!

@kiford - Fingers crossed! The onboard gifts said there were 2 versions, the 25th anniversay and the regular. I think I actually prefer the regular. We have no pool either...my genius plan was to use it while listening to audio books in the bath! 🤣 🤣 I'll take my whimsy where I can get it lol

Thank you all for your advice!!
