Disney Wish - Kids Club Slide

:rotfl2: when my 8 year old twins saw this on the video last night they were hysterical jumping up and down and said we better not wait to go on the wish or they might be to old to use the slide and kids club.

My 14 year old saw this and strongly desires going down it with his 8 year old brother next year 🤣

Is it just me who thinks it’s going to make the atruim loud? Like the kids clubs are always loud and with it connecting to the atrium I feel like at least part of that will be overflowing into the atrium?

I'm yes to see a youth staff excited by this...haha
At least the ones inside the club we could close when we weren't feeling it haha!

The only thing I thought when I saw that was - how would the clean the inside of that slide? Why am I obsessing about this?
My guess is similar to the Chick Fil A play area. Pre-covid we were there near closing one day and 2 staff members came in to clean. We were impressed as we watched them climb through the structure with spray bottles and cloths to clean the entire thing.

To be fair, the atrium isn’t a library. That said, I’d have to think DCL has nonetheless taken the noise factor into account. Soundproofing on the “hatch” when it’s closed, for example.

You just put a fluffy onesie on a kid, and spray them down with a little Dettol and voila! Slide cleaned! ;-)

First thought - hopefully it will be off to the side. They will need a check in area/scanners and the like by the hatch, so it’s not going to be an insubstantial amount of floor space.

I like the idea generally but one of the things I appreciated about Oceaneer’s Club was how rigorous they were at checking kids in and cleanliness. Not sure how that works unless they have a permanent station nearby with checkin desk. And my kids have not gone down an indoor slide since, oh, early March 2020.

My thought was that the requests for kids to have check-out privileges are going to skyrocket. Go down the slide, check out, rush up to the atrium, go down the slide, check out...

I was wondering about the same thing. It can’t be just a simple discreet little hatch in the atrium like we saw in the video.

There will have to be more than one YC there with an iPad/scanner to check the kids in. And there will have to be some space for a queue to form.

It reminds me of the short-lived slide that they had in Disney Quest when it first opened.
